PGL Wallachia 2024: Season 1. Play-offs. Upper bracket. We are looking at the final match of the game day, and it promises to be a thrilling battle. This could easily be a grand final match in any other tournament, but here it takes place in the second round of the winners' bracket. The Middle East will face off against Western Europe as two giants, comprising some of the world's best players, lock horns. Team Falcons will take on Team Liquid. Team Falcons The Middle Eastern squad unsurprisingly finished with a 3-0 record. Pre-tournament expectations were high, predicting that this team would make it to the play-offs without suffering a single defeat. The only potential hurdle was a tough draw, but as it turned out, their first two opponents, Heroic and Nouns, were not particularly challenging. In the match that secured their play-off spot, Team Falcons faced Gaimin Gladiators, the toughest opponent in their group stage, yet still emerged victorious with a 2-1 scoreline. Consequently, Team Falcons advanced to the play-offs from first place and now sit as the queen of the upper bracket. Doubts lingered whether anyone could halt this Middle Eastern juggernaut, which has clinched three out of four possible titles this year. In the first play-off round, they faced BOOM Esports, easily dismantling them 2-0. Team Liquid A classic performance by this Western European team, featuring a poor start to the group stage, followed by a comeback from their crisis to secure a play-off spot. They have failed to make the play-offs at times this season but managed to do so at PGL Wallachia Season 1. Their first match was promising, confidently defeating G2 Invictus Gaming, hinting at a strong run. However, they faced a loss against Xtreme Gaming, which was expected, but the next match turned out to be an upset as they lost 0-2 to Shopify Rebellion, a scenario few anticipated before the tournament. At 1-2, they managed to secure a play-off spot by defeating MOUZ 0-2 and then another Western European team, Team Secret, with a confident 2-0. They reached the play-offs by winning against their arch-rival Gaimin Gladiators in another epic showdown, emerging victorious 2-1. Head-to-Head Team Falcons and Team Liquid have faced each other seven times. The Middle Eastern team has four wins, one draw, and the Western European team has two wins. Prediction The favourite for this match, according to Betcity, is Team Falcons, with odds of 1.43 for their victory, while Team Liquid's victory is at 2.80. Given the current disparity in levels between the teams, I am inclined to support the Middle Eastern squad. It's hard to see how Team Liquid could pull off a win here.

PGL Wallachia 2024: Season 1. Play-offs. Upper bracket. Finishing match of the game day and indeed the main clash of the entire first game day of the tournament, as we await the Western Europe derby, a battle of teams that dominated almost the entire last season. This match will close the first day of the play-offs, along with the first round of the upper bracket. Gaimin Gladiators will play against Team Liquid Gaimin Gladiators The team from Western Europe had quite an interesting journey. On the first game day, they faced Team Secret, their regional mates, and it turned out to be a one-sided match. Despite Gaimin Gladiators having subpar performances in previous tournaments, their current level is still higher than Team Secret, so a 2:0 victory wasn't surprising at all. Next came the clash against Team Spirit. Two teams that had been underperforming in recent tournaments played against each other, and Gaimin Gladiators came out stronger, although it took more effort than in the first round. In the third round, Team Falcons awaited them, who turned out to be stronger, winning 2:1. In the race for the play-offs, Gaimin Gladiators got relatively lucky in the draw, coming up against BOOM Esports, arguably the weakest team. They still managed to win 2:1, bringing their overall record to 3-1, but not without a struggle. Team Liquid For this Western Europe team, it's a familiar story: a very poor start in the group stage, only to then claw their way out of trouble and manage to reach the play-offs. Yes, there have been times when they didn't make it to the play-offs, even this season. But in the PGL Wallachia Season 1, they did make it. Team Liquid's first match was reassuring, as they confidently defeated G2 Invictus Gaming, making everything seem promising. However, they then lost to Xtreme Gaming, which is rather normal for this tournament. The real shock came in the next match when they lost 0:2 to Shopify Rebellion, something unimaginable before the tournament. That sent them to a 1:2 record, but they still managed to qualify for the play-offs by defeating MOUZ 0:2. In their fifth match, they faced another Western Europe team, Team Secret, and once again claimed a confident 2:0 victory, setting up a play-off clash against Gaimin Gladiators, another battle with a bitter rival. Head-to-Head Gaimin Gladiators and Team Liquid have played 25 matches against each other. Both teams have shared the wins equally, with 12 wins each, and one match ended in a draw. This season, however, Gaimin Gladiators have only won one encounter, whereas Team Liquid has secured four wins. Prediction Betcity rates Gaimin Gladiators as the favourites for this match, with odds of 1.64 for their victory. Team Liquid's victory stands at 2.25. Personally, picking an outcome feels rather hazardous, as this is arguably the most conflicting match of the first round of the upper bracket play-offs. However, I would back GG to win, taking W1.

PGL Wallachia 2024: Season 1. Playoffs. Upper bracket. The third match of the game day and, in my opinion, the most obvious encounter of the day, if not the entire playoffs. The clear favourite will face the team that caused an upset in the first round of the playoffs. A team from the Middle East will clash with a team from South America. Team Falcons will take on BOOM Esports. Team Falcons The team from the Middle East unsurprisingly finished with a 3-0 record. Before the tournament, it was understood that this team would likely enter the playoffs without a single loss. The only thing that could have hindered Team Falcons from finishing the group stage with a 3-0 record would have been a tough draw. However, their first two opponents, Heroic and nouns, were not particularly challenging. In the match that decided their playoff spot, Team Falcons faced Gaimin Gladiators, the toughest opponent in their group stage, but they managed to win 2-1. As a result, Team Falcons progressed to the playoffs from the top spot and now sit at the top of the upper bracket in the playoffs, the so-called queen of this part of the playoffs. Currently, there are doubts whether anyone can stop this Middle Eastern team, which has already won three out of four possible titles this year. In the first round, as a team that confidently cleared the first stage of the tournament, they faced the weakest opponent, BOOM Esports, who made a sensational entry into the playoffs. BOOM Esports What can be said about this team, other than that they are the true sensation of the PGL Wallachia 2024: Season 1? It was hard to imagine this team in the playoffs just a week ago. I actually predicted this team to go 0-3, but they ended up making it to the playoffs with a 3-2 record. BOOM Esports had a very interesting journey in this tournament. They lost their first match to Xtreme Gaming 0-2, which was quite predictable. Yet, they went on to win against Heroic 2-0 and Team Secret 2-1. This put the South American team just one match away from the playoffs. However, they lost to Gaimin Gladiators 1-2, putting their record at 2-2. In the decisive match of the group stage, BOOM Esports faced Shopify Rebellion. Everything seemed to favour the North American team, but the South Americans came out on top with a 2-1 win, securing their spot in the playoffs where they would face Team Falcons in the first match. It seems they have even fewer chances here. Head-to-Head Team Falcons and BOOM Esports have not faced each other previously. Prediction According to BetCity, the favourite for this match is undoubtedly Team Falcons, with odds of 1.13 for the Middle Eastern team's victory. Meanwhile, the odds for a BOOM Esports win stand at 5.90. Its pretty clear-cut, so were looking for higher odds here, specifically Handicap1 (-1.5) with odds of 1.56. I believe Team Falcons could win this match with a clean sweep.

PGL Wallachia 2024: Season 1. Group stage. Swiss system. Team score stands at 2-1. The concluding match of the day and the main event for Eastern European viewers because the CIS derby awaits us, where, in fact, the current top-1 of the region will be determined. Such battles are always unpredictable and highly anticipated. The Eastern European teams clashing in this battle are BetBoom Team and Team Spirit. BetBoom Team This Eastern European team looked prior to the tournament start like a squad that could confidently aim for a 3-0, but in the end, they find themselves at a 2-1 score. The tournament path of BetBoom Team is quite intriguing. On the first day of the game, they had difficulties, but still confidently beat Shopify Rebellion 2-0. Then there was a match against Aurora, which seemed at that moment that the Eastern European team would win rather easily, but what happened was defeat due to their own mistakes, after which they dropped into a 1-1 score. Then they got lucky with the draw and faced MOUZ, who they overcame without significant struggle landing into a 2-1 score, one victory away from entering the play-off. However, to make it into the play-off, they still have to win this very match, and their opponent for the play-off ticket is Team Spirit. Every Eastern European derby is always a tremendous battle. Team Spirit This Eastern European team, just like Gaimin Gladiators, played poorly at ESL One Birmingham 2024, where Team Spirit failed to escape the group stages and missed the subsequent play-off tournament. It felt as if everything was going horribly wrong for this team. However, so far in this tournament, Team Spirit is looking at least decent, although far from their peak form. In the tournament's first match, Team Spirit confidently beat Virtus.pro 2-0. Afterward, they gave a good fight to Gaimin Gladiators but ended up losing. On the third match day, however, they secured quite a convincing victory over "nouns" with a 2-0 score, after which the team advanced to the score of 2-1. They're now one step away from the play-off, but to make this step, they need to beat the current Eastern European top-1, BetBoom Team. This will be a highly interesting encounter, the winner of which is hard to predict even before the matches because this is a CIS derby. Head-to-head Between them, BetBoom Team and Team Spirit have held ten meetings. Of these BetBoom Team scored three victories, two matches ended in a draw, and Team Spirit claimed the victory in the remaining five encounters. This year one meeting ended in a draw and another saw Team Spirit victorious. Predition Betcity favours BetBoom Team in this match, with odds of winning at 1.69. At the same time, the odds for Team Spirit are 2.13. In this scenario, anything can happen, particularly given this year's matches indicating that BB Team may struggle head-to-head with TS. However, I am still willing to take a risk and back BetBoom Team for the win, i.e., w1.

PGL Wallachia 2024: Season 1. Group stage. Swiss System. Team score 2-1. The second match of the gaming day and a showdown of the favourite versus the underdog, a battle where everything seems pre-decided, but as this tournament shows, every day brings its own surprises. If you look at how the fourth game day is shaping up, there may very well be sensations in the fifth. Western Europe is set to compete against Southeast Asia. Gaimin Gladiators will face off against BOOM Esports. Gaimin Gladiators This Western European team raised questions before the tournament owing to their lacklustre performance at ESL One Birmingham 2024, where they finished last in their group and subsequently did not make it to the playoffs. So, the anticipation before the tournament was somewhat lukewarm - it appeared the team won't achieve much and is more likely going to strive to make it into the playoffs only on the last day of the tournament. However, we now see a completely different scenario. Gaimin Gladiators beat Team Secret in their first tournament match, overpowered Team Spirit in their second match, making it seem as if the dominator of last season has returned, especially given their recent records. Nevertheless, it can't be denied that the opponents for the Western European team were not exactly top-tier, and the series with Team Falcons served as a reminder of this, as Gaimin Gladiators lost the playoffs slot match, dropping to the 2-1 teams. However, the draw has given them perhaps the weakest available opponent - BOOM Esports, hence the chances of making it to the playoffs are quite high. BOOM Esports A true sensation of this tournament is the presence of this South American team at 2-1. Interestingly, before the tournament, BOOM Esports were solidly in the top-2 in South America, while they have already become top-1 in this tournament. Yes, initially it was tough, as they lost 0-2 to Xtreme Gaming in their first tournament match, subsequently leading to a belief that BOOM Esports wouldnt shine in this tournament. Moreover, they were expected to lose to Heroic - a team they have been losing to for the past three months, but they surprisingly emerged victorious, and quite convincingly at 2-0. After accomplishing this main mission, it seemed that their tournament journey was done. However, that wasn't the case. Their meeting with Team Secret took many by surprise. Although Western Europe was the clear favourite, the situation turned out to be much more complex, and BOOM Esports made it into the 2-1, which was a real sensation. Now, the team is a step away from stepping into the playoffs, but they are up against the serious opposition of Gaimin Gladiators. Head-to-Head Gaimin Gladiators and BOOM Esports have had two games against each other. Both of them ended in a draw. Prediction It's quite clear here, Betscity sees the favourite of this match as Gaimin Gladiators, giving them odds of 1.25. On the other hand, BOOM Esports is given the odds of 3.90. My preferences lie with looking at the handicap of -1.5, which stands at 1.92. However, the past matches that ended in draws are concerning. Therefore, I suggest backing Gaimin Gladiators for the win, albeit at smaller odds.

DreamLeague Season 23. Closed qualifiers, China. The first match day. LGD Gaming will be facing off against Kev. LGD Gaming LGD Gaming seems to have missed the mark with their current roster. Once, they were a top-tier team tearing through everyone, even proving their mettle at the last The International 2023 where they came third. But their off-season wasn't as successful; a near total disband followed by an attempt to assemble a new team. Now, it's more about putting together a line-up of young, hungry players from the Tier 2 scene than selecting the region's best. While they've made their way to tournaments via direct invitations from organisers, their trajectory is still uncertain. I harbour doubts and, to be fully transparent I dont believe in this line-up. Kev Winners of the closed qualifier Elite League. Quite the introduction for this team. When I was evaluating the qualifiers for the previous tournament, I immediately took note of Kev's line-up. Granted, it doesn't look like they'll dominate the Tier 1 scene, but they're a solid Tier 2 team with ambitions. As for their performance in the Elite League, Kev ground to a halt when faced with Team Zero in the grand finals. That was their big match-up and who denied Kev victory in their first open qualifier. Nevertheless, Kev managed to pull through from the second. Now, Im keeping an eye out for what they'll show against Tier 1 level teams. Head-to-Head Matches G2 Invictus Gaming and Dark Horse haven't encountered each other before. Prediction I'll say this straight away: don't consider this bet even as a 50% chance. Its essentially a noble risk that might pay off at a high rate, which isnt something you often find in qualifiers.

DreamLeague Season 23. Closed qualifiers. China. The inaugural matchday. Upper bracket. Within the basket of opening matches, this particular game comes across as one of the predictable ones, in fact, it appears to be the most predictable match of the entire qualification. G2 Invictus Gaming will be competing against Dark Horse. G2 Invictus Gaming Determining the main favourite of Chinese qualification prior to the tournament is quite a task. However, it's pretty clear that G2 Invictus Gaming naturally falls into this category. Despite having an impressive roster, they have not achieved anything extraordinary yet. Still, they have managed to secure their spots in almost all major tournaments, which indicates their potential. Now, they face the toughest challenge yet as they are competing against three giants and two young teams who are all eager to make a statement. Their recent performances have been a bit disappointing, for example, they were the only Chinese team to lose a non-Chinese team at the Future Games. They lost to BOOM Esports in the third-place match. Similarly, at DreamLeague Season 22, they were the first team to be eliminated in the first group stage. If qualification fails this time, serious changes in the team or even disbanding could be in the offing. Dark Horse The team's name reflects the expectations for it. Indeed, their roster includes a player who competed in China's first division last season. "L'enfer, c'est les autres", that's the player who played for Outsiders from China, who lost all their matches in the first division, then the same scenario occurred in the second division. This team qualified for this event through a second open qualifier, being the last team to do so, which clearly marks them as the biggest outsiders of the tournament. If they somehow manage to win even a series, it would be a genuine sensation, something that was impossible to predict. Head-to-Head G2 Invictus Gaming and Dark Horse have never faced each other before. Predictions Certainly, G2 Invictus Gaming are the favourites in this match. Thus, we bet on P1; the return might be small but it's akin to depositing money in a bank; it provides a safe and modest return.

BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024. Closed qualifiers. Upper Bracket. Opening match of the entire qualifier for Western Europe and straight off the bat, the top dispatch, new line-up Tundra Esports, which convened right before the qualifier, will be tested by OG, who are currently a solid mid-tier team in the region. Tundra Esports Certainly, the saga of The International 2022 victor is fascinating. After losing its entire squad post International 2023, they endeavoured for some innovation. Initially, they signed the cast of TSM, who departed from their own organisation or more accurately, the organisation released the squad. But in ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, they could only penetrate the lower bracket and from there in the first round, they got knocked out by BetBoom Team. Following that, the roster was completely disbanded. The next move? Assembling a new squad in Western Europe and it turned out pretty solid. Ivan Pure~ Moskalyenko, Topias Topson Taavitsainen, Ivan MinD_ContRoL Borislavov, Edgar 9Class Naltakyan, and Matthew Whitemon Filmon appear as the contenders for the region's top-1, at least for these qualifiers. With the ease with which they surpassed the open qualifiers, they are expected to only reinforce this confidence in the squad. Yet, they still have to compete and here come possible first round problems. However, they are still the obvious favourites of these qualifiers. OG Yet again, the two-time victors of The International tried to compile a formidable squad to compete in the qualifiers, aiming to land on LAN-tournaments. Presently, OG is a mix of the old squad members and players that have proven their worth in other collectives, albeit not of the very top level. So far, the team hasn't managed to meet expectations. In the first and only qualifier of this season, they failed to qualify for the tournament, losing to Team Secret in the lower bracket semi-finals, which frankly, isn't a terrible outcome for a roster that had just assembled at that moment. The current level of the team in the new patch remains unclear. Since the end of October, nobody has seen them in action and IG could show up in any form now. Especially considering that they have someone like Sbastien Ceb Debs, maybe not currently the most skilled player, but his experience is beyond enormous and creating something interesting in the new patch is entirely within his capabilities. Hence, from OG we expect some intriguing strategies. As in the area of personal skill, they seem to lag behind the newly formed team. Head-to-head Tundra Esports and OG clashed a total of 26 times. Out of these matches, Tundra Esports claimed 16, while OG secured just eight victories. Two matches ended in a draw. Obviously, in their new line-ups, the teams have not yet met, nor have they met during this season. Prediction Here, I would suggest opting for Tundra's victory. They seem more promising; at least their squad gives the impression that they should almost steamroll through these qualifiers.

The International 2023. Final stage of the tournament. Upper bracket. First game day. The third match of the game day and the opening of the upper bracket on the main stage. Already, many are calling this match the hidden grand finale of the tournament, simply because Team Spirit is considered the strongest team in the world right now, and Team Liquid are known for reaching tournament finals and losing them. Team Spirit Perhaps the main contender to win this tournament. Team Spirit has been considered the strongest team in the world for the last three months, losing very rarely, not just series, but even maps. For instance, in this tournament, their map score is 12-1. The Eastern European team breezed through the group stage without a single defeat. Four victories in four matches and a first-place finish gave them the privilege of choosing their playoff opponents. They selected Shopify Rebellion, a squad from North America. Though they struggled, Team Spirit clinched a 2:0 victory. Team Spirit first encountered problems in the first round of the winners' bracket during their match against Virtus.pro. They lost the first map and should have lost the second but managed to win an incredible game and finally secured the series. As a result, they became the first team to advance to the final stage of the tournament and simply awaited their opponent. Team Liquid Their opponents turned out to be the main failures of this season, although it's a matter of perspective. On the one hand, they are unsuccessful, as they have lost five grand finals out of five, but on the other hand, they got there, which means they were at least better than all the other teams in the tournaments, but each time they lost the decisive tournament match. Hence, they awaited The International 2023. The Western European team passed the group stage with a single defeat in one map against Azure Ray in the very first match of the tournament. Afterward, Team Liquid didn't lose a single map. Firstly, they beat Evil Geniuses in the playoffs with a 2:0 score. Their opponents in the winners' bracket were Talon Esports, whom they completely crushed without any chance of winning, also with a 2:0 score. After this victory, they proceeded further along the winners' bracket in the final stage of the tournament, where Team Spirit were already waiting for them. As a result, Team Liquid was the second team which lost only one map in the whole tournament, but that one was in the group stage, where it mattered the least. Head-to-Head Team Spirit and Team Liquid have played 13 matches against each other. Out of these, Team Spirit won five. Team Liquid prevailed over their opponents six times, and two matches ended in a draw. This season has seen two draws, one victory for the Western European team, and two victories for the Eastern European team. Prediction It's not surprising that Pinnacle views Team Spirit as the favourite in this match, with odds standing at 1.56, given that their current form seems monstrous and they have also won the recent head-to-head matches. The odds for Team Liquid are 2.40. Here, I would suggest going with win at Spirit. Realistically, everything is going too well for the Eastern European team to stumble at this stage.

The final match of Group B, the last match of the third game day, the last match of the entire group stage of the tournament and most importantly, the battle for the upper bracket. Yes, there is even a chance that it will be a battle not just for the upper bracket, but also for the playoffs and potentially, an exit although that's quite unlikely. So, we have the final match of the day with 9 Pandas against beastcoast. The Eastern European team defends their title in a match against South America. 9 Pandas One of the best teams in Eastern Europe, namely Collective Alexey Solo Berezin, competes at a moderate level at this tournament. Although they lost to Gaimin Gladiators, they made a comeback on the second day, defeating their rivals from Nigma Galaxy in the opening match of the day. At this moment, they are tied for second to third place with their upcoming rival in the final match of the group stage. As to how the final match in the tournament will end, it's hard to predict. Both teams appear evenly matched, especially since 9 Pandas have stated they weren't particularly prepared for the tournament and spent the last month on holiday. So hoping for extraordinary results might not be realistic at this point. beastcoast One might want to say that beastcoast is one of the strongest teams in South America, but given that there are only two to choose from, it's hard to determine if beastcoast is among the best or the best. The team's performance varies. On the one hand, they achieved two victories in the first seasons of the first South American division, whilst from another perspective, their performance in the first two majors wasn't particularly successful. However, they finished second in the last season of the first division, demonstrating better performance than their South American competitors in the major event. Evaluating the team's strength is challengin; it's unclear. For this tournament, unlike at least half of the participants, the team was invited straight off and are thus performing just like their match opponents, with alternating wins and losses. Right now, the main question is which team will make it to the upper bracket of this tournament. Head-to-Head 9 Pandas and beastcoast have played 3 matches together. All three victories were clinched by the team from Eastern Europe, where two matches were won 2:0 by 9 Pandas, and one ended with a 2:1 score. Prediction 9 Pandas are seen as the slight favourites for this match, with Betsiti offering odds at 2.70, while beastcoast's victory odds are at 4.60. The most plausible outcome according to the bookmakers is a draw, offering odds of 1.90. Given the current parity of these teams, predicting a winner is extremely difficult, prompting me to go for a draw in this match.

BetBoom Dacha - Main Event. Group Stage. The third game day. Group A. This is the last match of group A and second last of the group stage. At the time of the prediction, it's not clear how teams will be placed before this match, but it is safe to say that TSM have been impressing at this tournament, they're the only ones in group A to have achieved a victory so far, whilst BetBoom Team, on the other hand, have been drawing all matches so far. BetBoom Team The host for this tournament, a team that hasn't won any matches yet but hasn't lost any either. BetBoom Team have been playing very average, it is noticeable that the team hasn't really been practising for the last 1.5 months and this tournament is literally rolling out for them in preparation for The International 2023, for which they qualified via points. Even with this, BetBoom Team are considered one of the strongest teams of the tournament, they probably have the best line-up at this tournament, barring one team in group B. In addition, BetBoom Team have been performing strongly at the recent "Dota 2" tournaments, namely the grand finals of DreamLeague Season 20. The crucial thing left is to win at least one major tournament, and not finish just a step away from victory, which includes winning the first division of Eastern Europe. TSM Many are calling this team the "dark horse" of the tournament. Apparently, TSM practised a lot before the tournament and won against almost all their opponents in the training matches. The only question left is if TSM are as strong as they are being talked up to be, in the first tournament they managed to outplay Evil Geniuses and are currently the only team in Group A who have managed to score two points and are currently leading the tournament table of Group A. Of course, by the end of the second game day, this could change and another team could be placed at the top of group A, but for now, TSM are leading. Let's see if they can continue their journey to the top of Group A on the last game day of the group stage, or finish the tournament at the bottom of the group. Head-to-Head BetBoom Team and TSM have had 2 matches against each other. The team from Eastern Europe claimed both matches and both ended with a 2:0 scoreline. Prediction The favourite for the match is BetBoom Team, BetCity gives an odds of 1.77 for their victory, whilst a draw is valued at 2.30. The odds for TSM victory looks astronomical - a whopping 9.00. My suggestion is to go for a draw, TSM are looking too good in this tournament, whilst BetBoom Team appear lost and finish each of their matches in a draw, not to mention the odds for this outcome look great - you can double your bet. So, taking a risk and choosing this outcome, I believe, would not be a bad decision.

BetBoom Dacha - Main Event. Group stage. Third match day. Group B. The second match of the day, also the opening match of Group B. This bout features the clear leader and the favourite of the group, against not just the main outsider of this group, but against the underdog of the entire tournament, namely Nigma Galaxy will clash with Gaimin Gladiators. The former being the underdogs, the latter the true favourites. Nigma Galaxy The only team to get into the tournament through qualifiers, specifically through the Online stage, during which they defeated tier-2,3 teams from Eastern and Western Europe. After this tournament, it seemed like Nigma Galaxy was the favourite of the qualifiers. But the end result was disheartening, with a loss in the upper grid to Entity and a defeat in the lower grid to Alliance, resulting in their elimination from The International 2023 qualifiers without a singular victory. Only two maps were won, and it seems from the team that won the qualifiers to being the worst team at The International 2023 qualifiers in Western Europe, and now they are considered the weakest team at BetBoom Dacha with two losses in two matches. To reach the playoffs, Nigma Galaxy must win at the very least, and even then, play-off ties might still be awaiting them. Gaimin Gladiators This season's best team, winners of all three majors and victors of the DreamLeague Season 19 and DreamLeague Season 20. Only the Riyadh Masters tournament was not won over by the Gaimin Gladiators, which stings particularly because the biggest prize pool was to be won at this tournament. Having come to BetBoom Dacha to rectify this after 1.5 months of gaming inactivity, they've performed exceptionally well so far, winning two out of two matches. The first was a high stakes victory over 9 Pandas and the second over beescoast, both of which are stronger teams than their final opponent. Gaimin Gladiators have already made it to this tournament's playoffs and they only need to win one map to guarantee the first place, having already secured their place in the winners' bracket. Head-to-Head Nigma Galaxy and Gaimin Gladiators have played 4 matches against each other. Gaimin Gladiators took away three victories and Nigma Galaxy managed one win. This year, both matches were won by Gaimin Gladiators. Prediction Unsurprisingly the Gaimin Gladiators are regarded as the favourites in this matchup, with betting odds of 1.55. However, it's crucial to recognise that these odds don't fully take into account the tournament's situation, in which Gaimin Gladiators don't need to win both maps to secure the first place in the group. Therefore, the odds of 2.60 for a tie look appealing, but you could also opt for Nigma Galaxys victory at 12.00, should you believe that Gaimin Gladiators already have everything they need and will not fight for the top spot in the group.

BetBoom Dacha - Main Event. Group stages. Third game day. Group A. The opening match of the last game day of the group stage is, as per tradition, played by the team that ended on the previous day. Team Secret will play against Evil Geniuses, battling for the playoffs, maybe even for the upper bracket. Team Secret Known as the Western Europe team that failed to win the qualifications for The International 2023, for them, now is the time when any tournament becomes the main event of the year. The BetBoom Dacha, with its $150,000 prize pool, should be a significant motivation for Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov's team. The team's level can be debated, but one fact remains: they are currently one of the best teams in this tournament, solely because they are one of the few who recently participated in professional play, particularly in the unsuccessful qualifications for The International 2023. Now, they are striving to get out of the group in their first match in this tournament and have even managed to take one map from BetBoom Team. Not a bad result, considering BetBoom are playing at their home tournament and are considered the main favorite, not just of Group A, but of the entire event. Evil Geniuses At the time of writing, this is the last team in Group A. In their first tournament match, they managed to lose to TSM 0:2. However, on the second game day, they did win one map against BetBoom Team. As the matches here follow a best-of-2 system, they have earned one point so far. To make it to the playoffs, they must win in the final match of the game day; otherwise, there is a high chance that they will leave the tournament at the group stage. Interestingly, Evil Geniuses were not supposed to participate in this tournament originally. They received a chance to play as replacements and did not decline. However, their current form resembles their last season's major, where they not only didnt qualify for the playoffs but also ended as the worst team in the tournament. Head-to-Head Team Secret and Evil Geniuses have played 36 matches together. Of these, Team Secret has won 20, and Evil Geniuses 12, while four ended in a draw. This year, the teams have played twice, drawing once and yielding a victory to Evil Geniuses on the other occasion. Prediction BetCity views Evil Geniuses as the slight favorites for this match, with odds at 3.00 for their victory, while the odds for Team Secret's win are at 4.40. The lowest odds are on a draw, at 1.92. However, I would suggest selecting the alternative outcome of Team Secret winning with a 0 HANDICAP at odds of 2.28. Team Secret could win this match, but to secure ourselves, I will take the handicap, in case of a draw, the bet will simply be returned. There is not that much confidence in a victory prospect for the Western European squad.

BetBoom Dacha - Main Event. Group stage. Second game day. Group A. Culminating match of the second game day, also the second match of group A. Setting the stage for the showdown between Team Secret and TSM. Teams that are and aren't going to The International 2023. It would seem that everything is clear here, but no, much has changed lately. Team Secret One of the two teams in the tournament who recently played and are aware of the latest patch changes added to the game before the qualifiers. Just before BetBoom Dacha, another patch was released, which significantly altered the meta and we're likely going to see different heroes on the professional stage now. However, it will surely be easier for them than for teams who haven't played in a month and a half. Especially since Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov's team is featuring a replacement in this tournament. Syed Sumail 'SumaiL' Hassan is stepping in for Armel 'Armel' Tabios. This year, SumaiL is playing for his third team. He was initially set to participate in the tournament with Team Aster, but when they withdrew from the event, SumaiL switched to another team who also initially weren't meant to be in the tournament, replacing Quest Esports. This could possibly be the last LAN tournament for Team Secret in this configuration, or with slight line-up changes, as they failed to qualify for The International 2023, finishing only fourth in the Western Europe qualifier. TSM Second North American team, or the first? The way TSM is evaluated has been a season-long debate. On one hand, they won two seasons of the North American division one and can be considered the best team of at least two seasons. But at majors and other tournaments, TSM consistently underperformed compared to Shopify Rebellion. Last season they first sensationally lost to Nouns, then Shopify Rebellion. This meant that they did not make it to the last major of the season, yet they still managed to gain entry to The International 2023 based on points. They now are set to participate in BetBoom Dacha, originally they weren't supposed to play at the tournament, but Team Spirit dropped out, so TSM gladly accepted the invitation. Seeing as they need to make it to the playoffs at least once more this season in addition to DreamLeague Season 19, whether they manage this remains a big question, but finishing last in this group seems a tough challenge. Head-to-head Team Secret and TSM have played four matches against each other in total. Out of these, Team Secret has three victories and one match ended in a draw. This year, Team Secret has one victory and one draw. Prediction Interestingly, according to BetsCity, Team Secret is the favourite in this face-off, boasting a coefficient of 2.90. However, it's essential to understand that a more likely outcome is a draw, with a coefficient of 1.90, while TSM's victory has a coefficient of 4.20. That's why my proposal is to go for a draw. The teams may not necessarily be on the same level, but TSM has a track record for obtaining draws in these kinds of tournaments.

BetBoom Dacha - Main Event. Group stage. Second game day. Group B. The second match in Group B promises to be just as thrilling as the first. I would go so far as to say that it seems less predictable and more evenly matched. In this contest, beastcoast will be battling it out with this year's top team, none other than Gaimin Gladiators. beastcoast South America's beastcoast has shown strength in the first two seasons and put on quite a show at the last major tournament, proving their might against the Evil Geniuses. However, they had a bit of a slump in the latest season and had to make changes. Consequently, Hector K1 Rodriguez was replaced by David Parker Nihon Hote. Surprisingly, the team managed to make it past the first round of the loser's bracket at the major tournament, a feat they had not accomplished before. Thus, the changes, which initially seemed odd, turned out to be beneficial. Now they are entering the tournament as a dark horse. Their performance at the Riyadh Masters has not been seen for one and a half months; the current form of the team and how well they can perform on Lan is questionable. Notable, given the quick pace of the tournament, with group stages and playoffs each lasting just three days - there won't be much time to acclimatise. Gaimin Gladiators As the reigning champions, the Gaimin Gladiators won five out of six tournaments this year, including all three major matches. They also triumphed in both DreamLeague Season 19 and DreamLeague Season 20. However, they fell short at Riyadh Masters, a high-stakes tournament with a 15 million dollar prize. Now, they have an opportunity to redeem themselves here in the BetBoom Dacha tournament. Assessing their current form is tricky as they haven't seen much action in the past one and a half months. Many players admit to taking a break for the last month, which adds to the intriguing question of their current status heading into the tournament. Nonetheless, we anticipate outstanding performance from the Gaimin Gladiators, especially considering their unfinished business from the last tournament. Head-to-Head Beastcoast and Gaimin Gladiators have encountered each other in four matches so far. Of these, GG have emerged stronger three times, with one match ending in a draw. Prediction It is unsurprising that Gaimin Gladiators are seen as the favourites for this match by bookmakers, with the odds for their victory pegged at 2.03. The possibility of a draw appears next plausible outcome at 2.10, according to Betsiti. The odds for a beastcoast victory seem bleak at 6.90. My suggestion would be to place a bet on a draw at 2.10. Since both teams have not played for one and a half months and are still acclimatising themselves to the tournament, the odds for a draw seem quite high.

BetBoom Dacha - Main Event. Group Stage. Second Game Day. Group A. Group A is launching secondly on the second game day, a rather unusual decision by the organisers, to flip the game order - Group A will now play second. And the first match of the gaming day will be a clash between BetBoom Team and Evil Geniuses. BetBoom Team The hostess of the tournament, if one can say it in that way, and presumably the most robust team in Group A. There are doubts whether someone else would be able to compete with them. As of late, the team has been looking much stronger than their opponents. Although they might not have emerged as the victors in the same Riyadh Masters, they were eliminated only in the semi-finals of the winner's bracket and only then emerged from the Gaimin Gladiators in the loser's brackets. In addition to all, they made it to The International 2023 on points, which is a fantastic achievement for a team that has been plagued by problems at the majors all season, and each time the issues were different, from visa issues to disqualifications to poor gameplay. Now, at their home tournament, they'll try to win their first title of the year. Of course, excluding the first division of Eastern Europe, specifically its first season in which they were able to surpass their competitors on the tournament table, later their maximum efforts resulted in the grand finals of DreamLeague Season 20 and the grand finals of Pinnacle Cup: Malta Vibes #2. Evil Geniuses The best team in South America. Yes, one can argue that beastcoast won two out of the three seasons of the first division of South America and performed much stronger than Evil Geniuses in the last major season. But, there is such a thing as the DPC rating. And it is in this that Evil Geniuses turned out to be stronger than all the other teams from South America. Evil Geniuses, as stated earlier, should not have participated in this tournament, but when Team Aster declined to participate in the tournament, Evil Geniuses accepted the invitation, especially since they had to rehabilitate themselves for their performance at the last major, yes, they performed slightly better at the Riyadh Masters, but it was easy to perform better than the last place in the tournament. Now, Evil Geniuses are approaching in an unclear form, simply because we have not seen them perform on the professional scene for a long time, since after the end of Riyadh Masters nearly 1.5 months have passed and current form of all teams is questionable. Head-to-head Between themselves, BetBoom Team and Evil Geniuses have played six matches. Four matches in this year, two wins for BB, a draw and a victory for EG. Prediction Betscity sees the most expected outcome of this match as a draw, with odds of 2.04. Meanwhile, the odds on BetBoom Team's victory are 2.20. For this match's outsider, namely Evil Geniuses, the odds are 6.00. Here, I would suggest taking P1, that is, the victory for BetBoom Team. After all, they are the main favourites in this group and should win against almost all.

BetBoom Dacha - Main Event. Group Stage. Day two. Group B. On the second day of the game, the group B games will commence first, as the organisers have decided to swap the groups around, creating a truly unique situation. Consequently, 9 Pandas are playing last on the day one and against Nigma Galaxy first on day two. 9 Pandas The finest team from Eastern Europe, judging by the DPC rating. Frankly, without the 9 Pandas, The International 2023 would have been short of three Eastern European teams on points and four teams in total. On the last major of the season, they outplayed Team Aster, causing them to miss The International and consequently skip the current tournament. 9 Pandas are an astounding team, capable of annihilating the whole map and being the world's best team, as well as conceding to weaker teams. So, don't expect any stable performance from this squad. They can either top the tournament, or lose it "big time". Interestingly, 9 Pandas is one of the two teams at this tournament that has won any tournaments before, namely Pinnacle Cup: Malta Vibes #1. Even though it's just an online tournament, it's still a victory where teams of a reasonably high level were playing. For now, even though they are not the group's favourites, no one would surprise if they make it into the upper bracket. Nigma Galaxy Arguably, the weakest team in this tournament. They only managed to get into the tournament after qualifying. However, after the qualifiers, The International 2023 qualifiers took place where they utterly failed. The team started from the upper bracket and couldn't beat Entity. Nonetheless, credit must be given to Kuro KuroKy Salehi Takhasomi's team - they're the only ones who managed to beat Entity in at least one match. Still, in the losers' bracket, they stumbled again, this time against Alliance, whom they managed to beat in the BetBoom Dacha qualifiers. Currently, Nigma Galaxy appears to be the main underdog of this group. How else to perceive a team that didn't manage to win a single game in the Western Europe qualifiers for The International 2023. There's a feeling that Nigma Galaxy will end up last in group B and will be eliminated from the tournament before even making it to the playoffs, even before the losers' bracket. Head-to-Head 9 Pandas and Nigma Galaxy have not previously played against each other. Prediction The Eastern European squad, led by Alexey Solo Berezin, is the favourite in this series, with Betcity giving them odds of 2.00 to win. Meanwhile, the West European opponents have a long shot of winning with odds of 7.50. There's also the outcome of a draw, viewed by the bookmaker at 2.10. However, I suggest picking 9 Pandas to win. The teams are simply on different levels right now, yes, 9 Pandas might not be fully prepared for the tournament, but given the disparity in levels, Nigma greatly lacks chances.

The International 2023 Western Europe Qualifiers. Upper bracket. Fourth day of qualification matches. The Winners' Final. This is the first of two scheduled battles for the two slots at The International 2023. As two slots are being contested in Western Europe, the first slot is decided in the winners' final, which turned out to be incredibly exciting. Luna Galaxy will face off against Entity. The only surprise greater than this would potentially have been if KZ TEAM had made it to the final, but as it stands, this is the most unpredictable winners' final we could have asked for. Luna Galaxy Luna Galaxy is absolutely the sensation of these qualifications. No one could have imagined that Luna Galaxy, having faced challenges in the first division and losing their carry hero and fifth man just before the qualifiers, would be able to put on such a show. Their performance at the BetBoom Dacha Online Stage, where they didn't even emerge from the first group stage, suggested that the former D1 Hustlers were not at the top of their game. However, the qualifying rounds started, and they first beat Level UP with a score of 2:0 before overcoming Quest Esports, who looked to be the main favourites for the whole qualification, having just placed in the top-4 at the last major and were the highest-ranked team among all teams at the qualifiers. Luna Galaxy beat them 2:1 and made it to the winners' final, where they will face Entity. Entity Entity's fate seems to be repeating itself from last season. Then, they were relatively mediocre until the decisive moment came with the qualifiers for The International 2022, which they won. And now, following an unremarkable season, they are just a step away from the main tournament of the year. Previously, their best result was reaching the playoffs at the first major, and they missed the next two altogether, unlike DreamLeague Season 19 and DreamLeague Season 20 where they didn't even make it out of the group. However, in these qualifiers, they have beaten both Nigma Galaxy and Team Secret, two region leaders of previous years. Now, new leaders have emerged, one of which is Entity, who will play against the up-and-coming team Luna Galaxy. Head-to-Head Meetings Luna Galaxy and Entity have faced off twice, both times during the third season of the first division. In the group stages, Luna Galaxy came out stronger with a 2:0 victory, but in the playoffs for maintaining a slot in the first division, Entity was stronger, winning 2:1. Predictions Betsity sees Entity as the favourites for this match, with an odds of 1.44, while Luna Galaxy's odds stand at 2.80. However, considering the current form of the teams in this tournament and their recent matches in the first division, I suggest going with Total Maps Over (2.5) at 2.03. The teams are equals and have played three maps before, so the chance of this outcome is very high.

The International 2023 Western Europe Qualifiers. Lower bracket match-ups. On the fourth day of qualifiers, we find the Quarterfinals of the lower bracket. Western Europe is in full throttle, chasing South-East Asia to determine the final contenders for The International 2023. However, there's a major difference - Western Europe is playing for two slots instead of one. This means fewer games per day - instead of the usual four games, there will be just three. And the first one will pit Team Secret against Level UP. Team Secret After the first day of tournament play, many considered Clement Puppey Ivanov's team, Team Secret, a strong contender to claim one of those coveted International 2023 tickets. Especially after their impressive takedown of OG, advancing them to the next round. OG, despite being considered a favourite in these qualifiers, were dropped into the lower bracket with a 2:0 loss to Team Secret. However, in the next lower bracket round, Team Secret suffered a similar 2:0 defeat against Entity, setting them up for this decisive match against an equally eager opponent. Teams are now on thin ice, with their season ending immediately after a loss. Level UP Level UP, also familiar to Eastern Europe viewers as Nikita Daxak Kuzmin's team, has had quite the journey. Formed just before the third season of Western Europe's first division, they triumphed in both open and closed qualifiers and even the second division of Western Europe. So far, their only focus seems to be on winning - whether it's individual matches or The International 2023 itself. Aside from missing out on the BestBoom Dacha - Online Stage, they've won close to everything in which they've participated. After a 0:2 loss to Luna Galaxy in the first winner bracket round at this tournament, they survived the first loser bracket round without a game and managed a 2:0 victory against KZ TEAM in the second. However, they're yet to face a formidable opponent. Head to Head Team Secret and Level UP havent previously met in play. Forecast Betscity is offering 1.40 odds for a Team Secret victory. However, team Daxak fetches an odds of 3.00. Still, after watching both teams performances, I would shy away from picking the outright winner considering the relatively low odds being offered. Hence, I suggest the alternative of going for handicap1 (-1.5) for 2.53 in this game. Team Secret has performed quite impressively in these qualifiers and they could very well steamroll through Level UP, making their way to the losers' semifinals without breaking a sweat.

The International 2023 Qualifiers. Southeast Asia. Upper bracket. The first game day of the qualifiers. The fourth match of the upper bracket and the finale of the entire game day, which will become the longest in these qualifiers and the largest in terms of the number of matches. BOOM Esports versus Bleed Esports will be deciding who will advance further in the upper bracket, and who would drop to the lower one. BOOM Esports Surprisingly, BOOM Esports became the favourites. The team shook the Southeast Asian transfer market. The transfer, or more precisely, lease of E BoBoKa Ji Biao looks like a real boost for the team that kicked off from the first division last season. Furthermore, they have Jian Wei xNova Yap and Erin Yopaj Jasper Ferrer in the lineup, very well-known and powerful players. It's hard to predict how this squad will perform in these qualifiers - the lineup is pretty solid, and just because they didnt fare well in the recent seasons means nothing; now the run to TI12 starts anew, and its starting from the upper bracket for them, which already eases their task. Hence, BOOM Esports can be considered, if not the favourites, certainly a team that, if it wins, will not cause a huge surprise. Bleed Esports A match in the lower part of the upper bracket, the second team in ratings after Execration, it also has many experienced and renowned players in the lineup. Daryl Koh iceiceice Pei Xiang, Djardel DJ Mampusti and Du Young DuBu Kim will be attempting to make it to yet another The International for themselves. Moreover, they even won the last season of the first division of this region, hence, they have 500 points in the DPC rating. Yes, they couldn't achieve any result at the major itself, but on the flip side, it's not really important how the team performed on the global stage now; it matters that they were already the strongest in the region and now they just have to repeat the last season. Whether they'll manage is a big question, because the competitors are very strong, but the team unquestionably is one of the favourites. Face-to-face meetings BOOM Esports and Bleed Esports faced each other 2 times. Both times Bleed Esports turned out to be stronger, once with a score of 2:1, the second time with a score of 2:0. Predictions Betscity heavily believes in Bleed Esports in this confrontation. The team, which has many experienced players who participated in the main tournament of the year, face odds of 1.49 in this match. In the meantime, their opponents from BOOM Esports, also boasting numerous quality players, only go for 2.50. I wouldn't risk betting on the favourite's victory, after all, BOOM Esports had a very good off-season and reinforced their lineup, so I would be cautious and choose the map total over (2.5) for 2.07.
