Undoubtedly, losing to Orenburg means nothing for "Spartak" as they have the regional route, but as for Guillermo Abascal, a failure to progress in the quarter-final of the Russian Cup could serve as grounds for the Spaniard's dismissal, particularly before the international break - a window which could provide an opportunity to swiftly replace him as the head coach of the Moscow club. Orenburg Under Deograsia, Orenburg manages to present structured football, yet the team is on the 14th junction and is trying to contest to maintain their placement in the RPL. Following this, the yellow-blues lost to Dinamo, were defeated by 'Krasnodar', and scraped only 1 point each in games against Baltika, CSKA, and Ural. Currently, Rostov has started to bounce back from this crisis, slowly climbing up the tournament table and approaching the top-8. 'Rostov' suffered their last defeat in their encounter with Spartak, losing 0:2, while their face-off with 'Pari NN' ended in success. In the group stage of the Russian Cup Path RPL, 'Rostov' competed in group 'B' and settled for the 2nd position in the quartet with Lokomotiv, Ural, and Kazan's Rubin.
