Arthur Rinderknech - Andrey Rublev predictions and free betting tips [02/09/2023]

28-year-old Arthur, ranked 73rd in the world, secured two victories in the current tournament over Schwartzman with a score of 6:3, 6:4, 6:2 and Berrettini 6:4, 5:3. Earlier in Winston-Salem, the tennis player lost to Kumar in the first round 3:6, 6:7 (3:7), and in Kitzbuhel advanced to the quarterfinals, defeating Cherundolo 6:7 (3:7), 6:4, 6:2 and Hanfmann with a score of 7:6 (7:3), 6:3, but lost to Thiem 6:4, 3:6, 4:6.

At the end of July, Rinderknech claimed the title at the Zug tournament, beating Ferrari 7:6 (7:3), Travaglia 4:6, 6:4, 6:3, Andreev 6:2, 6:2, Rodionov 4:6, 7:5, 6:2 and De Lore 3:6, 6:3, 6:4. However, the tennis player earlier struggled, suffering three consecutive losses; he lost to Bagnis in Gstaad, Mueller at Wimbledon, and Eubanks in Majorca. In late June, Arthur qualified for the Majorca tournament by beating Moelleker, but was defeated by Shelbayh. In the main draw of the tournament, he managed to overcome Ramos and Lestienne.

One of the successful tournaments this season was the Challenger in Pau, where Rinderknech advanced to the semi-final without losing a set to Blanch, Royer, and Struff, but lost to Van Assche. Overall this season, his results have been inconsistent, and he has struggled with different types of surfaces, not passing beyond the second round in any of the remaining tournaments.

Andrey Rublev

25-year-old Andrey Rublev, ranked 8th in the world, won two matches at the US Open against Cazaux with a score of 6:4, 7:6 (7:5), 6:1 and Monfils 6:4, 6:3, 3:6, 6:1. The player previously suffered three consecutive losses, losing in Cincinnati to Ruusuvuori 6:7 (10:12), 7:5, 6:7 (3:7), in Toronto to McDonald 4:6, 3:6, and in Hamburg Rublev won against Sapa Miralles 5:7, 6:1, 7:6 (9:7), but then lost to Altmaier 2:6, 2:6.

However, at the end of July, at the Bastad tournament, Rublev demonstrated good play, starting from the second round and securing the title. His path to success included victories over Kotov 6:3, 7:6 (7:4), Zverev 6:2, 6:3, Cherundolo 7:6 (8:6), 6:7 (7:9), 6:3 and Ruud 7:6 (7:3), 6:0. At Wimbledon in mid-June, Rublev passed four championship rounds and defeated Persells, Karatsev, Goffin, and Bublik, before losing to Djokovic. At the Buddle Challenge, Andrey overcame Auger-Aliassime and Musetti, and he also reached the final in Halle, defeating Wu Yibing, Hanfmann, Griekspoor, and Bautista-Agut, although he lost the final to Bublik.

At the French Open, Rublev reached the third round, overcoming Djere and Moutet, but lost to Sonego. This season, he also showcased his talent at the Monte Carlo tournament, where in mid-April he became the champion, with victories over Munar, Khachanov, Struff, Fritz, and Rune. Additionally, Rublev reached the quarter-finals at the Australian Open, the final at the Dubai tournament on hard courts, and the final in Bosnia and Herzegovina on clay.

Rublev is having a stable season, despite his failures in recent tournaments. Rinderknech, on the other hand, secured two victories in the championship, but one opponent was inferior to him in class, and the other withdrew from the match. In my opinion, the favourite is Rublev, and I am betting on his victory.
