On Sunday, 2 June, Eibar and Real Oviedo will clash in the final round of the Spanish Segunda Division.
The Gunners are closing in on the automatic promotion zone. A victory here is essential, and they will be hoping for Leganés to slip up against Elche, levelling the points tally. Indeed, Eibar could have resolved their issues much earlier if they hadn't squandered points against underdogs.
The visitors are currently sitting in fifth place in the table but could fall out of the promotion zone. They share similar problems with Eibar. Having lost to Tenerife (0:1) and Cartagena (0:2), Real Oviedo must have had their chances earlier; now they wouldn't be worrying about their position.
Since 2022, the clubs have faced each other five times. Eibar has one victory (1:0), Real Oviedo also has one win (2:1), and they have drawn three matches (1:1, 0:0, 1:1).
Eibar looks significantly better at home compared to their away performances. Real Oviedo will struggle against the motivated home side, but they might find their moment. Still, I'll back the Gunners to win, though it's going to be a very tight and tense game.
