On Sunday, 2 June, Excelsior will host NAC Breda as part of the Dutch Championship play-offs. The Black and Yellows demolished their rivals at home with a 6-2 victory, so the home side will need a miracle to advance. Stadium The match will take place at Van Donge De Roo Stadium in Rotterdam. Excelsior Excelsior was thoroughly beaten in the first match, losing by a four-goal margin (6:2), largely due to two red cards during the game. In the first half, despite responding with goals from Duijvestijn and Parrott to Breda's three strikes, the team collapsed after the break. The home side now faces a gigantic deficit, which seems impossible to overcome, but let's not forget, this is football. For their current play-off round, the Rotterdam club eliminated Den Haag, winning the first match (1:2) and the second leg with a scoreline capable of turning Sunday's showdown in their favour (7:1). Fans will be optimistic, seeing that their team has scored at least twice in four out of their last five encounters. However, Excelsior had a dismal home campaign last season with only 19 points from 17 matches (13th in the league, with 26 goals scored and 27 conceded). NAC Breda NAC Breda was flawless in the first match, securing a dominant 6:2 victory with goals from Omgba, Janosek, Van den Berg, Koscelnik, and an Ommarsson brace. This surprising result came from a side that only managed eighth place in the regular season, grabbing the last play-off spot. They then defeated all the favourites, first dismissing Roda (3:1 home, 0:5 away) and then overcoming Emmen (1:1 home, 0:3 away). The visitors are unbeaten in nine consecutive matches, delighting their fans. Particularly notable is the number of goals scored; Breda's squad netted at least twice in four of their last five games. NAC Breda ranked sixth for away points in the league (27 in 19 fixtures, 34 goals scored, 29 conceded). Head-to-Head NAC Breda are unbeaten in their last five meetings with Excelsior (3 wins, 2 draws). Additionally, Excelsior hasn't triumphed over their Sunday rivals in the last six home fixtures. Match Prediction: Excelsior vs. NAC Breda NAC Breda took a giant step towards the Eredivisie with a comfortable 6:2 win in the first leg and are unlikely to relinquish such a massive advantage. Although the Rotterdam team has struggled at home recently, they must rise to the occasion in their final home game of the season. Therefore, I am backing Excelsior to triumph. Total Goals Prediction Excelsior will have to attack from the first minute to overturn the four-goal deficit, giving the visitors plenty of opportunities for counter-attacks. I am placing a bet on the total goals over 2.5. Corner Prediction The hosts need to make a comeback and will take the initiative from the start. I am betting on a victory for the Rotterdam side on corners with a -1.5 handicap. Yellow Cards Prediction Even in the first match, the teams collectively earned five yellow cards. Given the heightened tension in this second leg, a bet on the total yellow cards over 4.5 seems prudent. Score Prediction I am predicting a scoreline of 3:1 in favour of Excelsior.

The following game, or more precisely a playoff tie where a spot in the Eredivisie is contested, kicks off at the De Vijverberg stadium, home to De Graafschap which is due to play ADO Den Haag. Both teams amassed an equal number of points in the regular Eerste Divisie season, although the Superboeren ended up marginally lower due to goal difference. De Graafschap Some regard De Graafschap as an average Eerste Divisie team that managed to make the playoffs, but in any case, Jan Vreman's side put up a decent performance throughout the season, despite some letdowns. Jan Vreman has gradually built this team, whose merits shouldn't be underestimated. The Dutch manager has crafted De Graafschap's style of play, and the Superboeren emerged victorious in matches where they could showcase their defined style of football. While the manager reshuffles the lineup, he does not break the overall foundation, especially regarding defence. De Graafschap's midfield is powerful, but the attack may lack firepower. Simon Colin, one of the best in midfield, frequently pushes forward but the Canadian has missed two Eerste Divisie matches due to injury, and it remains unclear whether he'll recover in time for the playoffs. De Graafschap's full-backs, particularly Jeffrey Hernani, are top-notch and consistently perform well, as does Alexander Bttner. Donny Warmerdam and Philip Brittain form a reliable defensive midfield duo that should hold up well in the playoffs. The Superboerens attack might not be top-tier, but let's see whether it will function according to Jan Vreman's plan in the match against ADO Den Haag, which has been unpredictable this season. ADO Den Haag The approach of ADO Den Haag's coach, Dario Kalezic, might be perplexing to an average pundit. He frequently switches players' positions and changes tactics, but the key point is that his strategies prove effective, hence there's no ground to complain. The South Holland capital's club has had to strive to make the playoffs. ADO Den Haag performed consistently throughout the season, leapfrogging even teams that initially seemed more likely to make the playoffs, such as Helmond or Cambuur. The composition of ADO Den Haags main squad appears unclear, with players' positions seemingly dependent on Kalezic's decisions at a pre-match training session. However, team leaders maintain consistency. Henk Verman, for instance, became the Eerste Divisie's top goal scorer with 23 goals and 4 assists. Yort van der Sande started off brilliantly and although his performance slightly dwindled, his stats11 goals 7 assistsspeak for themselves. Daryl Van Migem has had an exceptional season in the Eerste Divisie. Originally playing as a forward, he made a smooth transition to the wing where his assists increased significantly, reaching an impressive 8 goals 15 assists for the season. After Nick Marsman's arrival from Inter Miami, Kalezic settled with him as the first-choice goalkeeper, providing much-needed stability for this position. ADO Den Haag's powerful forward play is likely to encounter De Graafschap's ball-possessing style. Kalezic's players should be ready for a tough battle ahead. Head-to-Head The first-round encounter at De Vijverberg ended in a tedious stalemate, while the second-round match resulted in a 5:3 scoreline favouring ADO Den Haag. Notably, De Graafschap led 2:0 during half-time. Prediction for the match: De Graafschap - ADO Den Haag The superboeren should exhibit their class in the first half, and we'll have to wait and see what moves Dario Kalezic and his players make afterwards. I suspect they'll manage to equalise and secure a draw in the match.

The Eredivisie has played out 38 rounds, meaning it's now time for the play-offs for the chance to participate in the Eredivisie. The remaining spot in the Netherlands lite division will be fought over by 7 clubs, 6 of which will face each other in doubled contests. The "De Oude Meerdijk" ground will host the encounter between Emmen and Dordrecht. Thus far, it's been challenging to predict the favourite, but this will make it even more intriguing for regular fans, and it will be interesting for us to see all the potentials ahead of the starting battle in the Drenthe province, as well to evaluate the likely 1/2 finalists after the encounter. Emmen A strong series of wins allowed Emmen to climb into the group of leaders, ending 7th place, which was fantastic for a team that had only recently been stuck mid-table. Furthermore, it's worth noting that before this successful streak, Emmen brought in a new head coach. Thus, Alfonso Arts led the team from the province of Drenthe to the playoffs, although it was Fred Grim who initially set up this team's game. However, there were too many losses in the second half of the season which led the club's management to search for another coach, especially on the eve of the season conclusion. Emmen has a well-balanced line-up with no obvious weak points. Piotr Parzyszek is the team's top scorer, but he experienced some dips in form this season when he was kept on the bench and Joey Konings took his place. The midfield has its stars at Emmen, for instance, Visente Besuyen, who's been performing exceptionally well following a loan from Aberdeen, with his goals contributing significantly to Arts' team securing a play-off position. In summary, Emmen has a terrific selection of footballers who have shown they're ready to progress in the playoffs and attempt to move further in the tournament, potentially as a humble club, but certainly as a cohesive team. In the first game against Dordrecht, they need to stick with a defence-oriented game, which suits Alfonso Arts's Emmen, but also they need to utilise their potent counter-attacks, as it's vital to secure a home win. Dordrecht The club from South Holland is gradually picking up pace and it seems that this season could be the one to surprise their fans, especially as it marks the club's 140th anniversary. The team managed by Michele Santoni had a remarkable second half in the "regular" championship, with an impressive 13 match undefeated run. But what's important to note is that Dordrecht performed decently in the 1st half as well. This enabled the team to secure a comfortable position on the log and confidently play the remaining rounds, knowing a spot in the playoffs was already secured. In terms of player recruitment, Santoni received a strong team. Matis Surai was Dordrecht's top player this season, with a goal-to-pass ratio of 13:6, and Elias Sebaoui was also impressive on his flank, scoring 11 goals during the "regular" season. Shiilo Zanda has a fantastic record, however, he will miss the match against Emmen due to disqualification. In his stead, Yari Schuurman, who has recovered from an injury, is likely to play. Schuurman is no longer a regular starter though, as Rene Krivak is out, so Kored Osundinna, who is in exceptional form, is expected to start. Michele Santoni's side should play offensively against Emmen, and with such a plethora of classy forwards and powerful midfielders capable of creating plenty of goal chances, it's hard to envision any other approach for this match. Head-to-Head In the two Eredivisie matches this season, Dordrecht bested Emmen. The 1st half saw a 4:2 scoreline, where Konings managed a brace, and there were two red cards and an own goal. In the 2nd half, the score was 2:1, with Konings managing to score yet again, but Emmen fell once more. Match prediction: Emmen - Dordrecht I'm betting on ITO2 (1.5). It's highly unlikely Dordrecht will play a dull match in this encounter.

The stellar event of the 30th tour in Eredivisie would be the face-off between Ajax and Twente at the capital of the Netherlands. The club from Enschede is putting out efforts to hold onto their 3rd position, hoping to qualify for the Champions League. On the other hand, the capital's team is in thick contention for the Conference League, and Ajax hasn't entirely secured their position in this tournament yet. Ajax It's embarrassing to lose against Feyenoord 0:6, even if Ajax was short on several team leaders. It seems like coach John van't Schip failed to amply prepare his players for this match. There could be other reasons too, such as psychological factors. This disappointing slip didn't tremendously impact Ajax's tournament standing, but the Dutch press was quick to lambaste him, blaming van't Schip as the chief coach of the offending team. The Ajax squad seems robust, even considering some of the injured team leaders. Notably, forward Brian Brobbey is likely to face Twente, and Jordan Henderson might also be up. Not taking the previous match into account, Steven Bergwijn has regained form after his injury, and he has scored one goal in the match against Sparta. Ajax's underwhelming season has been a letdown to fans, but it's crucial not to appear too dismal. The team needs to secure a spot in the Conference League, and this is a task the Dutch capital's team should accomplish. Twente The club from Enschede has done a lot to break into the top three, something not just any team can snatch from Twente. Being frank, besides AZ Alkmaar, manager Joseph Oosting's team doesn't have much competition on the table. We could argue that Twente is only left with the challenging match against AZ Alkmaar, where they must not lose, and this bout against the 'Amsterdammers' won't be a walk in the park. In terms of lineup, Twente is second to none in the Eredivisie. Ricky van Wolfswinkel and Sem Stein are two key attacking players who've almost scored half of the team's goals this season. Dan Rots Michiel Vlap has been decent operating as a left flank midfielder, and Manfred Ugalde was unbelievably good in the 1st half of the season, but he's now playing for Spartak Moscow, not showing the same stats as in Twente. Still, his singularity worked well with the team's comprehensive attack, where everyone played perfectly and Ugalde was fantastic in this game model, making (7-6) in the goal pass system. Twente may not lose to Ajax, but outplaying the Dutch capital's team will be a challenge. Ajax shouldn't allow an undesirable slip in such an important match in the presence of their home fans. Head-to-Head In the 1st round, Twente overpowered Ajax with a 3:1 victory, where Twente simply outperformed. Match prediction: Ajax - Twente If we presume that Ajax won't surrender, and neither will Twente allow itself to be beaten, we can venture to bet on a draw in this key match for both teams.

Many wouldn't argue that Feyenoord is sure to remain in 2nd place and won't be able to catch up with PSV. Likewise, FC Twente probably won't be able to challenge for the Eredivisie's silver medals this season. In this round, Arne Slot's squad travels to Sittard to play against Fortuna, which may still be hoping for a competitive run for a spot in the top eight. However, they might struggle in their remaining league matches, as much depends on their competitors, who need to lose for the club from Sittard to climb up to 8th position in the Eredivisie table. Fortuna Sittard Whether Fortuna is capable of catching up with Sparta and other contenders for a place in the Conference League qualifiers is uncertain, but there will surely be opportunities if the team from Sittard approaches their games correctly, claiming victories against all, including being influential against Feyenoord. Fortuna lost the critical match against Sparta and failed to defeat Nijmegen, even though the advantage was on the side of the club from Sittard. Against Twente, there was nothing to be gained as the Enschede's club class prevailed. Fortuna's squad is quite robust for a mid-table Eredivisie side. Among the leaders, Kaj Sirkhis deserves recognition. He's already scored 12 goals this season and is ranked 6th on the top scorers' list. Notable absentee against Feyenoord is centre-back Rodrigo Guta, who received a red card in the previous match against Twente. As a replacement, Dimitrios Siopis will play, who got his suspension in the penultimate round due to an accumulation of yellows. The squad question is whether Justin Lonwijk, who recently moved from Belgian side Anderlecht, will play. He appeared to become a Fortuna regular, but for some reason, the Sittard manager didn't start him in recent matches. It's crucial for Fortuna to play tactically sound against Feyenoord. Thus, the ball possession will likely be in Slot's team favour, but the tactical supremacy might be on Fortuna's side in this match. Feyenoord There was a necessity to outplay Volendam in the last round, and even in the confrontations with PSV, Feyenoord didn't succeed, unless we're talking about the Dutch Cup. The aim for Slot's team is to win the country's secondary tournament and complete the Eredivisie season to secure a Champions League spot. Feyenoord legitimately stands a chance of lifting the trophy, and it's unlikely to let the silver medal slip, though if they keep losing to everyone, FC Twente might close the three-win gap from the South Holland side. Feyenoord boasts a strong lineup, with fantastic Santiago Jimenez leading the front, and vigorous flanking actions conducted by Igor Paishao and Yankuba Minteh. Defensive problems are virtually nil. With Kilyndshi Hartman injured, Lutsharel Gertrude steps in on the left, while Bart Nievkopp operates on the right flank. Although he doesn't always appear mostly reliable as a defender, he often comes on as a substitute and even occasionally starts if key players get injured. It's possible that goalkeeper Justin Beiolo could be included in the squad after missing several matches due to injury, but it's hardly likely that Arne Slot will start him against Fortuna. There's a need for energy preservation ahead of the battle with Nijmegen in the Dutch Cup final, but stylistically, Feyenoord won't play differently against the team from Sittard. Therefore, goals are imminent, and Arne Slot should field his main team to avail them the opportunity to prepare for the important match through a standard Eredivisie encounter. Head-to-Head In the first-round match, Feyenoord played a 0:0 draw with Fortuna. They did so being one man short due to a red card received by Bart Nievkopp midway through the first half. Match Prediction: Fortuna Sittard - Feyenoord I'm betting on total over 3 goals. The match won't be dull, and Feyenoord won't allow themselves to be outplayed in this match.

A fascinating match approaches at AFAS Stadium, featuring two teams each grappling with considerably challenging seasonal objectives. AZ Alkmaar has fallen behind Twente and is aiming not to relinquish its ticket to the UEFA Europa League qualification. Meanwhile, RKC Waalwijk duels with Excelsior for a comfortable place outside the bottom three, notably; the competitor has already made their move in this touring, effortlessly outplaying FC Volendam, and the 'other Oranges', along with Vitesse, are most likely headed for the Eerste Divisie. AZ Alkmaar AZ's defenders seem to have gone missing in previous matches, as conceding 10 goals over 2 games is quite a feat. There has been no explanation for the debacle against Heracles. Furthermore, the appalling match against PSV substantiated the fact that strategic mistakes have been made either by the coaching staff or the players themselves. Consequently, they arguably deserve the loss of bonuses or some rewards, but they can't afford to lose so unilaterally in their goal-scoring. Especially when they had plans to compete with Twente for a Champions League qualification place, and here the Europa League may also slip away if AZ Alkmaar delivers a couple of similar misfortunes. Marten Martens did not reorganize the line-up after the first rout, possibly to his regret, as it led to the second. It will be interesting to see who the Belgian coach was displeased with after the previous match against PSV. Most likely, we'll get the answer before the start of the match against RKC Waalwijk when they announce the starting lineup. AZ needs to play tactfully in defence against their opponent from North Brabant to affirm their defence's reliability and avoid repeating failures during an important period of the season where they need to secure their way into the Europa League at the minimum. RKC Waalwijk Only the match against Vitesse was a success for Henk Fraser's men among the five crucial matches after the loss to Go Ahead Eagles. This was followed by two fair draws with Excelsior and Heerenveen and a stalemate with Almere City. Then the disaster struck against FC Volendam, as RKC Waalwijk had to come back from 0:2 down but still lost. The fixture schedule for RKC Waalwijk is hardly among the most hospitable. Yet, there is a showdown against PEC Zwolle, and a couple of draws can be salvaged against difficult opponents. However, even this might not be enough to outpace Excelsior, which also lacks easy upcoming matches. On occasion, Henk Fraser reshuffles his team line-ups for specific opponents. For instance, Reuven Niemeijer has not started in two consecutive matches, and Michiel Kramer has only recently returned to the starting lineup post-injury. It's curious that David Min only came off the bench against FC Volendam, while Chris Lokesa is still operating on the left flank when they could position Denilho Cleonise on the right, substituting virtually anyone on the left-wing position incuding Margaret. Given the current difficulties in AZ's defence, RKC Waalwijk's offence should focus on exploiting these issues, especially considering that Henk Fraser's side is certainly capable of scoring goals in this match. Head-to-Head In the first-round faceoff, AZ Alkmaar overcame RKC Waalwijk with a score of 3:1, even though they were trailing 0:1 at halftime. Betting prediction: AZ Alkmaar - Waalwijk It's worth betting on total over 2,5. Both AZ and RKC Waalwijk should be capable of netting at least one goal in this contest.

In the 28th round of the Eredivisie, there are loads of captivating fixtures. One of which can be accounted for as the battle in Almelo, between Heracles and AZ Alkmaar. The cheese farmers have the task to maintain their position, pushing them towards the Europa League, and they might give a nudge to overtake Twente, who stands at the 3rd spot claiming a position in the Champions League. The team of Erwin van de Looi doesn't occupy the most convenient spot in the lower part of the table, being merely 4 points away from Excelsior, who is in the 16th spot. If luck turns its back, the Overijssel-based team can easily roll down and swap places with the club from South Holland. Heracles Heracles hasn't been particularly successful in clashes with clubs aiming for European cups. Take, for instance, the match against Twente in the last round, where van de Looi's players managed only one shot on target and an Xg rate slightly above half. There might be several questions directed towards the coach of Heracles, but if the club manages to stay afloat in the Eredivisie, the complaints will be called off. It's worth noting that Erwin van de Looi's team earns their points by outplaying some of the teams in the lower part of the table. A recent, well-earned win over Go Ahead Eagles, who are currently contending for a spot in Europa Conference League, stands out. However, the latter team had issues with the realization of goal-scoring opportunities, while Heracles found its goals and Hornkamp was once again up to the mark, providing a goal assist in that match. Van de Looi occasionally changes the line-up according to his strategies. Against Twente, Sven Sonnenberg didn't play in the defence, and he was replaced by Kelvin Leerdam, whose performance was a tad below the German defender's standard statistics. Meantime, minor reshuffling in the midfield is a common occurrence. The team leaders are all set: Hornkamp in good form, Emil Hansson regularly missing games due to injuries and Jordy Breijn always starts, although the positions may change sometimes, which could confuse the Dutch midfielder. Against AZ, a defensive failure cannot be afforded, therefore Erwin van de Looi must have thoroughly studied the opponent's attack to prevent them from unleashing their full potential. AZ Alkmaar Early criticism of Maarten Martins after the resignation of Pascal Jansen was premature, even though under the Belgian's reign AZ Alkmaar was knocked out of the quarter finals of the Netherlands Cup by Feyenoord. AZ's fans had big hopes that the club would compensate for its group-stage fiasco in the Europa Conference League by showing serious intent in the domestic cup. After the cup defeat, AZ had several draws and 5 wins, one of which was absolutely key, against Ajax, who were trying to catch up with Martins' team in the second half of the season. As far as the squad is concerned, AZ looks sound. Pavlidis is on form, however, puzzlingly, he didn't play a single minute in the international match against Georgia. The rest of the key players are performing well, hence Martins has no concerns about them, and hence he keeps the starting line-up unchanged year-round. Against Heracles, a pragmatic approach is needed to secure success and to count on Twente faltering in their battle with Heerenveen. Therefore, Martins' men still have the motivation to trade the Europa League for a Champions League qualifier. Head to Head In the first round, AZ drew with Heracles (1:1), where Jansen's players were expected to win, but they couldn't get more than a goal in the match. Match predictions: Heracles - AZ Alkmaar I bet on AZ. A good and smart victory is needed for Martins' men to compete with Twente for the 3rd spot, which leads to the UEFA Champions League qualifiers.

The team Excelsior is ranked near the bottom three, exhibiting a terrible losing streak. The team from South Holland is set to play against Waalwijk, a team that has clinched the same number of points. The only difference falls in goal difference, where Venlo trails by just one goal to draw level with Excelsior's goals scored and conceded. Excelsior "Excelsior's" head coach needs to shake up the team, orchestrate some changes to generate better results. Dijkhuizen is aware of his footballers' shortcomings and understands the necessity for restructuring, albeit not radical, but potent. To lose to AZ Alkmaar (0:4) in their away game is less of a disaster than conceding five goals against "Fortuna", a team not considered very formidable. However, the scoreline (2:5) reveals that Marinus Dijkhuizen and his team are in a period of decline, although initially, "Excelsior" was just below mid-table and far from the bottom three. Team changes are likely essential to rejuvenate the squad, as they do have injured players. For example, Irish player Troy Parrott missed the game with "AZ" due to injury. It remains unclear his status for the match against Waalwijk. Kouhaib Driouech is dealing with an injury. His recovery timeline is ambiguous, and Kik Pierie has missed three games because of a knee problem. Also, Reduan El Yaakoubi missed the roster for the last game due to a muscle injury. On a brighter note, Derensili Sanches Fernandes, who often graces the bench, was in the starting lineup against AZ. There are trials from the Excelsior coach to see if he can play on the right flank in the main lineup. If even a game against Waalwijk fails to yield results for the team from South Holland, Marinus Dijkhuizen's dismissal might well be justifiable. There have been numerous failures, and "Excelsior" does not intend to fall back into the Dutch first division, where they would likely struggle with an insufficient budget. Waalwijk Hank Fraizer's team surrenders points too often when they exhibit the capability to clinch them. Waalwijk lacks concentration and a solid defense, resulting in minimal losses needless ties, wasted games. The provincial team doesnt lack organisation, but their results are disappointing, except for Waalwijk's competitors. The North Brabant collective seized their 6th Eredivisie victory of the season in their previous round. They defeated Vitesse (3:1) at home, an equally matched game. Thanks to the successful implementation, "VVV-Venlo" came out victorious while the Vitesse defense looked feeble as they let their opponents launch bold attacks frequently. Waalwijk roster already has some stand-out leaders. Micky van de Ven has had exceptional times when he delivered in 4-5 consecutive matches, followed by a scoring drought. But this player found his touch again in the last match. Yasin Ukili is an attacking midfielder who doesn't always bear fruit but performs exceptionally when asked to act closer to the forward line. And finally, David Min occasionally comes up good but he cant be referred to as an excellent forward. Waalwijk stands a fair chance to outperform "Excelsior", but everything boils down to Hank Fraizer's attackers' potency and whether their defense can withstand the pressure and prevent frequent flukes, just like it happened in the three games before the victory over "Vitesse". Head-to-Head In the first leg, Waalwijk typically failed the game when they had an opportunity to succeed, but Excelsior managed a comeback from a 0:2 scoreline. Match predictions: Excelsior - Waalwijk Given the circumstances, both teams need a win, but a loss is unacceptable. Therefore, a draw might seem counterproductive but it provides the most suitable result for this matchup.

Zwolle, under the guidance of Danny Buijs, is slightly closer to the elite eight, whereas 'stars carriers' are in a crisis, lying five points down from the 8th spot, which officially allows for a claim on the UEFA Conference League. Fortuna Danny Buijs is doing a satisfactory job ensuring the team remains distanced from the bottom-rung group. Likely, the management has no other requirements, except that Fortuna should target a mid-table position in Eredivisie. There's potential to edge into the elite eight, yet it's pointless contemplating it at the moment, considering there are enough contenders for Europa leagues, specifically the Conference League, which includes some considerably more robust clubs, therefore the team from Sittard hardly could break in. Last round saw Fortuna managing not to lose to Ajax in Amsterdam, with a win even within reach. Now in good form, unlike Zwolle, the Sittard-based team are the favourites for this match. Zwolle There was a period, just recently, when Zwolle's game was going well, being next to the leading group. Then, Jhonny Jansen's team suffered a loss to Almere City (0:1), followed by a heavy defeat (1:7) against PSV, another loss, then a draw (1:1) against FC Volendam, where they needed to emerge victors against this season's main underdogs. Wading through a slight crisis, Zwolle could rectify the situation with just a good match. Perhaps, troubleshooting could be done in Sittard, where the aim, at least, would be to hold their ground. Zwolle has what it takes to potentially outplay Fortuna, but at a minimum, Jhonny Jansen's players can manage not to lose in this match. Head-to-Head In the first round, Zwolle easily defeated the team from Sittard with a score (2:0), dominating both halves of the confrontation. Match Forecast: Fortuna vs Zwolle The previous round match against FC Volendam proved that Zwolle is still competitive, albeit with system problems. Fortuna is just fine, but against Zwolle, they may face a hard time on all fronts, hence my bet in this match is X2. Forecast for Individual Total of Goals Scored by Zwolle The choice with ITO2 (1) is just perfect, at least one goal will be scored by Jhonny Jansen's players against Fortuna in this match.

Hello there! We're kicking off a series of forecasts with the Dutch Cup football, where the second semi-final will take place. Now the main favourite for the country's secondary title, Feyenoord club, will play against Groningen, currently in the 1st division, although just last season the team from the same-named city in the north of the Netherlands played in the Eredivisie. Feyenoord By dropping out of the 1/16 finals of the Europa League, Arne Slot's team has slightly relieved itself, but it's obviously better to be in the European tournament and expend more energy rather than save energy by not participating in Europe's second most important club competition. Everything is going great in the championship for Feyenoord; even if they can't catch up with PSV, the 2nd place should go to Slot's players, as long as they don't start failing in simple matches. So far everything is wonderful as evidenced by the victory over Almere City in the last round, although if you look at this encounter from another angle, the result does not match the course of the fight itself as Feyenoord well executed their moments but lost in Xg, and that's with two balls being sent into the opponent's goal net. We make a note of Feyenoord's players psychological state after the penalty shootout failure with Italian Roma. Groningen Many expected that the "white-green army" would easily climb to 1st place in the Eerste Divisie table and just as easily return to the top division of the Netherlands. Everything is turning out differently, although it cannot be said that Groningen has problems. In the Eerste Divisie championship, Dick Lukkien's team is in 6th place and has a game in reserve, but it's important to understand that in this table, Groningen has not lost the opportunity to catch up with the two leaders, whose places send an express straight to Eredivisie without any playoff matches. In the Dutch Cup, footballers managed to defeat two opponents from the top league - Willem II, who is in 1st place in the Eerste Divisie tournament table. Groningen, of course, has the motivation to do well in cup games, but it's one thing to outplay minor clubs from Eredivisie like Fortuna and Excelsior, and quite another thing to go to Feyenoord. Match Forecast: Feyenoord - Groningen The race for the finals, of course, motivates Feyenoord to easily beat a club from Eerste Divisie, so I'll bet on the handicap (-2.5), perhaps Groningen won't even manage to score. Exact score forecast The 3:0 option will likely suit Feyenoord, and for Groningen's loss, it won't be too disastrous in this match.

The central match of the 23rd round of the Dutch Championship will be held at the AFAS Stadium, the home of AZ Alkmaar. The hosting "Cheese Farmers" will welcome Amsterdam-based Ajax, seeking to salvage a rather unsuccessful season by reaching the Europa League spot. AZ Alkmaar The decision to change the coach at AZ seemed reasonable after the team's disappointment in the Conference League. Pascal Jansen was often criticised for the static approach of the team in the Eredivisie with no real prospects of moving forward. An odd decision, to let go of a man who structured football in AZ. Now, the "Cheese Farmers" are managed by Marten Martens. With him, the team from the North Holland region won their first match in the last round, despite being on the back foot. Their opponents Fortuna tried to operate high, to be more offensive, but it was AZ who commanded the match. Fortuna, however, did commit a lot, but fell short on delivering results. AZ Alkmaar has a decent squad and could have progressed from the group stage in the Conference League, yet they succumbed to the competition from Polish side Legia. The ludicrous match-up against Zrinjski Mostar also had its impact. Nevertheless, Pavlidis has been once again performing well, with a tally of 21 goals and an assist per match. While other players have made limited contributions to the team's achievements, they are vital to adding more vigour to the team. Despite being the favourites in the match against a revitalising Ajax, the "Cheese Farmers" also have a new coach who perceives their players in a different light. Ajax The Ajax squad led by John van 't Schip barely managed to overcome Norwegian Bodo/Glimt in the 1/16 Conference League playoffs. Despite their weaker performance in the second match-up, they effectively exploited a couple of good opportunities. In contrast, Bodo/Glimt launched 25 shots with 7 on target, likely considering themselves stronger contenders for the quarter-finals. Yet, they faced real problems with shot execution, especially as the official season started with a playoff. Ajax also prefers to dominate possession in the championship, with the struggle lying in converting their ball control into successful results. Jordan Henderson, arrived from Saudi Arabia, seemed to have found his form but suffered an injury as well and missed the match against Bodo/Glimt. Gaston Avila, as well as Steven Bergwijn, are also in the hospital. Ajax isn't favoured in the match against AZ Alkmaar, but they should strive not to lose to their direct competitor for a Europa League qualification spot - a place where the Amsterdam club undoubtedly seeks to be. Head to head meetings In the first leg, Ajax lost to almost all competitors and AZ Alkmaar was no exception. The "Cheese Farmers" won 2:1 at the Johan Cruijff Arena, with the two current top scorers of AZ, Pavlidis and de Wit, finding the back of the net. Match Prediction: AZ Alkmaar vs Ajax Even though Marten Martens' squad is undergoing changes and is considered the favourite in the match against Ajax, I'll put my money on a draw. As the Amsterdam side would most likely be seeking this result to prevent AZ from widening their advantage. Go Ahead Eagles may easily overtake Ajax if they suffer a loss in this encounter. Exact Score Prediction A scoreline of 1:1 does seem fitting here, as both teams would hesitate to expose themselves excessively. Yet, this match shouldn't disappoint the fans with goals on both sides.
