English football brings games that are simply a must-watch, providing fans with emotional sensations and vivid memories, while also sparking interest in those who aren't keen on football. On 13th February in League 2, the third tier of English football, Forest Green will lock horns with Barrow at Holker Street.
Not so long ago, Barrow was playing in the National League. They claimed the championship in the 2019/2020 season and advanced to League 2. For the next two years, they struggled for survival, consistently finishing in 20th place. However, this season sees the team in 3rd place, which could potentially secure their promotion to League 1.
After drawing with Sutton United (2:2), the team lost to Crewe Alexandra (1:3). In the next round, they drew with Notts County (1:1). Then, the boys achieved a victory over Milton Keynes (1:0). Unfortunately, they suffered a defeat in their last match against Wimbledon (0:2).
Many people in England are familiar with this club, as it is the world's first vegan club. Last season they dropped down from League 1, and this season sees the team on the brink of relegation to the National Conference. At the moment, they are 24th with 20 points.
After losing to Harrogate at their home ground (0:2), they drew with Gillingham (1:1). In the next match, they suffered a narrow defeat to Accrington. The following match resulted in a high scoring draw with Colchester (3:3). But in the last round, they lost to Mansfield Town with a disastrous score of 0:4.
The last face-off between Forest Green and Barrow was on 24th October 2023. That match ended with a victory for Barrow (2:0).
Forest Green in the last match showed that they still don't look like a serious competitor for the teams from the top of the table, so I'm confident in a victory for the hosts. Moreover, Barrow performs well at its home ground.
