Huddersfield Town is set to head to South Wales on Wednesday evening to battle it out with Cardiff City and to improve their league standing. Despite recent positive results under new head coach Andre Brightenraiter, the 'terriers' are only ahead of Stoke City, who are in the drop zone, by goal difference.
The gap from the play-off zone has been shortened to nine points in recent rounds, and Cardiff needs to finish the Championship strong to stay in the promotion battle. A victory against Huddersfield could mark their third consecutive win, which will significantly boost morale and their standing in the league.
Following the departure of Darren Moore, the 'terriers' game has greatly transformed and become more attacking. Credit is due to the interim appointment of Jon Worthington, who significantly pulled up the team's morale. Huddersfield doesn't look like a team that's fighting for survival. Leeds United would have not just drawn, but lost outright in the last round if not for a player being sent off.
The 'terriers' last failed to score last year. Since then, the team has only improved which gives reason to consider their total. They are offering 1.92 for the ITO2(1), which is very tempting.
Cardiff doesn't look like a team capable of scoring much. The main threat typically comes from the fullback. I'm thinking it will all end in a minimal victory for the visitors and an under total.
