On Saturday, 8 June, Denmark and Norway will clash in a friendly football match.
The Danes have built their football on standards, which we observed in their last match against Sweden (2:1). They won nearly all aerial duels and barely gave their opponents any breathing room in the first half. Notably, Eriksen, despite his age, still works hard in the midfield for two and scored a superb goal that ultimately secured the victory for Denmark.
The visitors did not qualify for the Euros and are content with just the Nations League. It’s said that one man does not make a team, but Haaland would disagree. The Norwegian striker netted a hat-trick in a recent friendly against Kosovo (3:0) and looked spectacular. However, carrying the team on his back all the time will not be feasible. Denmark is an entirely different calibre of opponent, and such exploits won’t cut it against them.
The last time these national teams faced each other was in 2013, where Denmark won with a score of (2:1).
As much as I am inspired by Haaland, I understand that he will not be able to outplay Denmark alone, but he can still make a mark. I will take both teams to score – yes.
