The semi-final of the Armenian Cup is set for Tuesday, featuring a match between the Shirak and Urartu teams.
Shirak won their last Armenian Cup match on 10th March against the Silisia team with a score of 1:0. In the Premier League, Shirak is on the bottom rung with no victories in 3 contests, scoring 23 points from 27 rounds and only securing 6 victories. A win against a second league team in the quarterfinals of the Cup can hardly be considered a great accomplishment.
Urartu notched up a confident victory in their last match against the CSKA Yerevan team with a score of 4:0. The match took place on 12th March. Urartu player Kravchuk distinguished himself by scoring two goals at the 6th and 64th minutes of the match, and Angasaryan succeeded twice scoring at the 11th and 70th minutes of the game. Urartu ranks 4th in the league with 41 points after 27 rounds, having 11 wins and 8 defeats, their track record shows only 1 victory in the last 5 rounds with 2 draws.
I expect a cautious game and I'm betting favourably on Shirak's handicap, as Urartu, post their quarter-final victory, are showing weak results.
