In the Volleyball Nations League, the national teams of Turkey and Argentina will clash. The game is scheduled for Thursday, 20 June at 11:00.
The Turkish side has been performing disastrously in this tournament. There are issues both with the squad and the coaching staff. In the last round, they lost to Bulgaria (1:3), managing to snatch the third set in a flurry, but the Bulgarians quickly cooled their momentum and comfortably closed the match in their favour. Turkey shares the bottom position with Iran.
The South American team is quite solid, although they haven't been performing perfectly. Yesterday, they were defeated by Slovenia (0:3), but this result didn't surprise me, as the Slovenians are having an outstanding tournament, and it's very challenging to oppose them on their home ground. Argentina has the potential to surprise, and their lineup is robust.
The teams have not faced each other before.
The Argentinians still have a chance to advance to the playoffs, but they need to start accumulating points now, and an unmotivated Turkey is an ideal opponent for this. However, Argentina isn't strong enough to secure a 3:0 victory. I believe that Turkey can snatch a set, so I'll take Handicap1 (+2.5) at 1.57.
