On Wednesday a Russian Super League match will be held between Soligorsk's Shakhtar and Krasnoyarsk's Yenisei.
The hosts sit in eighth place in the league table, performing at a moderate level. In their last five matches, they have beaten "ASK" 3:1, "Nova" 3:1 and "Yugra-Samotlor" 3:0, but lost to "Yenisei" 1:3 and Novy Urengoy's "Fakel" 2:3. The team has 15 victories and 15 defeats in the current season.
The visitors, on the other hand, occupy the ninth spot in the Super League standings. In their last five encounters, they have only triumphed once against "Shakhtar" 3:1, but it's worthy to note that they have only been defeated by the division's top teams: "Belogorie" 0:3, St. Petersburg's "Zenit" 0:3, Novosibirsk's "Lokomotiv" 1:3 and Moscow's "Dynamo" 1:3. From 30 championship matches, the club has recorded 15 victories against 15 losses.
Throughout history, the teams have only met three times, in two of which "Yenisei" came out stronger (3:1, 3:0), and "Shakhtar" won once with a score of 3:0.
A very close meeting where it's tough to predict anything. To me, Yenisei Krasnoyarsk is a slight favourite here, having defeated the hosts rather comfortably in their first qualifying match. Here, it might be worth considering the Handicap2 on Sets (+1.5) at odds of 1.6, and if you're feeling adventurous, I'd eye the visitor's victory at odds of 2.15.
