Hello everyone! The 16th round of the PlusLiga is about to kick off in Northeast Poland, where league table neighbours are set to compete. Slepsk Suwalk" will be hosting Norwid Czestochowa, and we're eager to dissect this match to help you make a reliable bet.
The volleyball players under Dominik Kwapisievich have played two games so far this year. "Stal Nysa" proved stronger than "Slepsk Suwalki" on their home court, whereas "Olsztyn" unexpectedly lost to the North-Eastern Polish club, despite many betting on the visitors in that match.
Victories are still rare for "Slepsk Suwalki", but their counterparts at the lower end of the table aren't exactly shining either. By winning a third of the championship games to date, Kwapisievich's squad is at 12th place, struggling to keep out of the relegation zone.
The "Slepsk Suwalki" team is average. Excellent attack player Bartosh Filipiak, who became the MVP in a match with "Olsztyn" in the last round, is on their squad, as is Conrad Staer who occasionally showcases outstanding individual stats. Hoakin Galiego staggered a bit in recent matches, but he's expected to bounce back after what seems to be temporary slump.
In the context of competition at the bottom of the table, the forthcoming match with "Norwid Czestochowa" is of significant importance for the hosts as there's a chance to overtake the opponents. Kwapisievich's volley players aren't aiming for the group of leaders, it seems.
By the end of last year, the "Norwid Czestochowa" team gained momentum, winning two consecutive matches and marking the start of 2024 by pleasing their fans with a home victory against "Gdansk". Even their loss to "Projekt Warszawa" can't be considered a total flop.
Against the capital city's team, "Norwid Czestochowa" played with an expanded roster, however, Leshek Gudzjak continues to rely on the regulars. David Dulski, probably the main attacker of "Norwid Czestochowa", has remained the best among the defeated, consistently scoring high for his team. Often, Damian Kogut is individually efficient and fits well in team dynamics. Rafal Sobanski typically performs diligently, but against "Projekt Warszawa", Ayman Buggera was evidently more successful in his role, despite being previously considered a second-string player by Gudzjak.
"Norwid Czestochowa" is showing improvement, making their away match with "Slepsk Suwalki" a valuable test. It will decide whether the southern Polish team can aim for a spot in the top eight.
In the first round, "Norwid Czestochowa" was defeated at home by "Slepsk Suwalki" with a score of (1:3), marking it as one of the most unsuccessful matches in the current season of PlusLiga.
For me, the first round game carries no weight, simply because the current "Norwid Czestochowa" team seems far more robust than it did at the start of the season, when they were struggling to perform. I believe it's worth betting on the visitors as they should not be less professional than the team from the northeast of Poland.
