The men's SuperLega volleyball series is launching its 13th round. One of the intriguing clashes for betting selection should be the game between Piacenza and Milano. These teams are about to conduct their third official match in the ongoing season, meaning they are well acquainted with each other.
In the championship, Piacenza is doing well, although it's a bit hard for Andrea Anastasi's volleyball players to work in two directions. Plus, the team from Emilia-Romagna region participated in the Italian Cup, where precisely Milan managed to defeat Piacenza.
Anastasi's players' challenge is considerable, but there is nowhere to retreat. They need to address all the tasks proposed throughout this season. Prior to their loss in the Country Cup, "Piacenza" had a good home match against "Benfica" in the Champions League, where the Italians won with a score (3:0) in sets, and also the squad from the Emilia-Romagna region won two away confrontations in SuperLega.
The situation in the Champions League group is still difficult for Andrea Anastasi's team because there is an opportunity to either reach the playoffs from the first place, or miss them entirely. The complexity is further augmented by the fact that the remaining games of "Piacenza" in the CL will be away and against competitors.
Now let's assess the composition of one of the leaders of the Italian SuperLega. Santos De Souza Ricardo Lucarelli constantly contributes to the attack, he might arguably be called the main "spiker" of "Piacenza". For Francesco Ricine, the second half of the first championship round saw a game that Andrea Anastasi had expected from him.
Piacenza needs a revenge game against "Milan", which is looking powerful in all tournaments in which it participates.
Milan might have a challenging schedule, but nonetheless, it keeps the team in shape. The 1/8 finals of the CEV Cup are about to start, and it should be noted that the Italians were massively unlucky with the draw - they got the Polish "Zawiercie", which is in top form.
In the Italian Cup, Roberto Piazza's charges managed to defeat "Piacenza" and made it to the final four. As for SuperLega, it's ambiguous here because the teams tussle in the group of leaders and a couple of failures can drop "Milan" below the 5th line, where the club stood at the beginning of the year, however, the best eight broke away from the outsider zone, so Roberto Piazza has no need to worry about the championship.
"Milan" has a good team, which makes it entirely feasible to work in three directions of the season, solving global problems. Among the main leaders, I would point out Agustin Luzier and Matey Kaziyski, whose experience and skill are always needed by "Milan".
In the championship, Roberto Piazza's volleyball players have no problems, so there's no need for the club to disperse before a crucial visit to "Zawiercie" when they could afford to concede so they can be better physically prepared for the match in Poland.
In the second round of this season's SuperLega, Piacenza defeated Milan on the road (3:0), and afterwards, as already mentioned, lost at home in the quarterfinals of the Italian Cup.
I'm going to bet ona win for the home team by points. I think the option (-3.5) would be suitable. A more confident victory for Piacenza in this match is also possible.
