Anastasia Potapova - Karolina Muchova predictions and free betting tips [08/08/2023]

The 22-year-old Anastasia, currently ranked 26th in the world, previously played in the Washington tournament. She pulled out of her match against Bencic with a score of 5:6 in the first set. Earlier, at Wimbledon, she defeated Naef with a 6:3, 6:3 scoreline, alongside a 6:3, 7:5 victory over Juvan, before suffering a defeat to Andreeva with a 2:6, 5:7 lose. Anastasia reached the semi-finals of the Birmingham tournament in late June, beating Kostyuk 6:7 (6:8), 7:5, 6:4, McNally 3:6, 6:2, 7:6 (7:0), and Dart 4:6, 6:3, 6:4, only to later surrender to Ostapenko, losing the match 7:5, 2:6, 4:6. In the French Open, Anastasia managed to make it to the third round. She claimed victory over Townsend with a scoreline of 6:1, 6:2 and then overcame Sherif with a scoreline of 3:6, 6:4, 6:1.

However, she surrender to Pavlyuchenkova in the third match with a scoreline of 6:4, 3:6, 0:6. In February, Anastasia Potapova triumphed in a hard-court tournament in Linz (Austria), defeating Bronzetti, Niemeier, Friedsam, Vondroušová and Martic. This season, she also reached the quarterfinals in Miami on a hard court and the semifinals in Stuttgart on clay. She's earned victories against experienced players such as Kostyuk, Gauff, Yu Chen, Martic, and Garcia. Anastasia continues to show her potential and consistency in tournaments, making her one to watch.

Karolina Muchova

26-year-old Karolina, currently ranked 17th in the world, previously took part in the Warsaw tournament. She managed to handle Sasnovich with a scoreline of 4:6, 7:6 (7:0), 6:3, but then lost to Sramkova 5:7, 6:3, 5:7. At Wimbledon, Muchova lost her first match to Niemeier with 4:6, 7:5, 1:6. In June, at the French Open, Karolina had an impressive run and made it to the final. She scored wins over Sakkari 7:6 (7:5), 7:5, Podoroska 6:3, 0:6, 6:3, Begu 6:3, 6:2, Avanesyan 6:4, 6:3, Pavlyuchenkova 7:5, 6:2, and Sabalenka 7:6 (7:5), 6:7 (5:7), 7:5. However, she lost to Swiatek with a scoreline of 2:6, 7:5, 4:6. Her performance at Roland Garros came as a surprise, as Muchova displayed her skills by playing successfully on clay courts against strong opponents. Earlier in the Rome tournament, she also had an excellent run, registering wins over Rakhimova, Trevisan and Giorgi. However, she lost in the final match against Badosa in three sets with a score of 4:6, 7:6, 2:6. At the beginning of the season, Muchova had also reached the quarter-finals in both Indian Wells and Dubai on hard court.

Prediction for the Potapova vs Muchova match

Muchova has suffered a series of setbacks and has lost three of her last four matches. On the other hand, Potapova was injured, but she has recovered quickly and is ready to participate in the new tournament. In my opinion, the upcoming match does not have a clear favourite and I predict a total over.
