In mid-July, Madison had commendable results in Wimbledon, making it to the quarterfinals. In Charleston, Keys reached the quarterfinals, defeating Navarro, Baptiste, and Linette, but lost to Kasatkina. Keys started the current season with six consecutive wins in Australia and later reached the quarterfinals in Dubai, defeating Paolini, Garcia, and Azarenka, but then lost to Gauff.
