In early May, Sorana Cirstea showcased exceptional form at the Challenger tournament in Reus, where she clinched the title. During the tournament, the tennis player defeated Bolsova, Schmidlova, McNally, Davis, and Mandlik. She also performed well in tournaments in Miami, where she reached the semifinals, and Indian Wells, where Sorana made it to the quarterfinals on a hard surface.

Swiss player, 26-year-old Belinda Bencic holding the 13th spot in the global ranking, secured three victories at the US Open against Rahimova with a score of 6:2, 6:4, Miyazaki 6:3, 6:3, and Zhu Lin 7:6 (7:1), 2:6, 6:3. Prior to this, in Cincinnati, she lost in the first round to Bucie, whereas, in Montreal, she made it to the quarterfinals, defeating Bronzetti, Parks, and Kvitova, but lost to Samsonova afterwards.

In the Washington tournament, Belinda Bencic reached the quarterfinals and triumphed over Potapova and Davis, but lost the next round to Gauff. Bencic also partook in Wimbledon, where she prevailed against Swan with a score of 7:5, 6:2, Collins 3:6, 6:4, 7:6 (10:2) and Linette with a score of 6:3, 6:1, but lost to Swiatek with a score of 7:6 (7:4), 6:7 (2:7), 3:6.

At the French Open, Belinda faced defeat in her first match against Avanesyan with a score of 3:6, 6:2, 4:6. Nevertheless, she showed impressive game skills at the Charleston tournament earlier, where she got to the final, defeating Sebov, Rogers, Alexandrova, and Pegula, but ultimately conceded to Jabeur.

Afterwards, she played in a tournament in Doha, reached the quarterfinals, but then lost to Swiatek. In other tournaments this season, she managed to get to the second round twice, though once she lost her first match.
