On 6th April in League 1, the third-tier division in England, Exeter City will play against Stevenage at the St James Stadium. Let's look at the team conditions and try to make a decision that helps increase our bank.
The team has been playing in the English League 2 for ten years. Finally, two seasons ago, they managed to secure their ticket to League 1 again. As a result, upon returning, the team took 14th place, showing themselves to be a serious middleman in the championship. Currently, however, things are going wrong as they are in 15th place in the league table after 40 games.
After a draw with Bolton (2:2), the team secured a victory over Shrewsbury (3:0). Then they won by the minimum score against Burton. In the next match, they drew with Charlton (1:1). And in the last round, Exeter defeated Cheltenham (2:1).
After ten years, the team finally managed to get a promotion to League 2. The guys took 2nd place, earning 85 points. In the current season, the team continues to delight their fans in the 3rd division. After 41 games, Stevenage is in 8th position with 64 points.
In the 37th round, they suffered a defeat from Peterborough (1:3). Then they lost by the minimal score on their home turf to Leyton Orient. In the next match, the team drew with Carlisle (2:2). After that, they drew with Bolton (0:0). The last game against Charlton, they once again ended in a draw (0:0).
The last face-to-face duel between Exeter and Stevenage was on 16th December 2023. That match ended with a score of (1:1).
In recent games, Exeter has shown very good results. They haven't lost in 5 matches in a row, 3 of which they won. Stevenage, on the other hand, is currently weak as they couldn't win in any of their recent matches. All their games ended either in defeats or draws. Based on this, I would try to bet on a zero handicap for the hosts.
