Despite a seven-match undefeated home streak in the Premier League, the Southerners have lost their last three meetings at year-end to London clubs: Arsenal in 2020 and 2022, and Chelsea in 2021. It is worth noting that the team rightfully won their group in the Europa League and advanced directly to the last sixteen.

At present, Tottenham ranks 4th in the Premier League, trailing only 4 points behind the leading Arsenal. Meanwhile, Tottenham's attack remains in perfect order: they netted 37 goals in 18 rounds (only Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Manchester City scored more), while they conceded 24 goals.

A success on Thursday evening will allow the Postecoglou's charges to increase their lead over the 6th placed Manchester United, especially since Brighton is in the crisis these few weeks. Brighton's infirmary is overloaded, and De Zerbi himself can't solve the defensive issues of his charges. I bet on a victory for the Londoners with a handicap of 0.
