On Wednesday there will be a friendly football match between the national teams of Belgium and Montenegro.
The Belgians qualified for the Euro from the top spot in their group, but the team is not as perfect as one might hope. Their defence has clear issues, so they might concede a counter-attack from Montenegro. At least in the attacking line, there is Lukaku, who continues to score prolifically. Belgium is on a thirteen-match unbeaten streak but has often made their fans nervous.
The visitors were close to qualifying for the Euro, but they lacked a bit of luck. In recent friendlies, they have looked respectable, beating North Macedonia (1:0) and Belarus (2:0). Notable players include Jovetić, who won the Conference League Cup with Olympiacos, and Savić, who is almost always reliable in defence, but there are not many other stars in the Montenegro squad.
The teams have met only once in history, back in 2012, which ended in a high-scoring draw (2:2).
The hosts should deliver an impressive performance in front of their home crowd, as the level of their opponent allows it; however, a complete rout of the visitors is not foreseen. My pick for this match: a home win and total over 2.5 goals – yes at 1.80.
