On Monday, 3rd June, there will be a Friendly match between the national teams of Albania and Liechtenstein.
The team surprisingly finished top of their Euro qualification group, despite teams like the Czech Republic and Poland looking stronger on paper. Albania may not have star players, but they possess enough experienced players from the top leagues. A couple of months ago, they faced Sweden and Chile, losing both times (0-1 and 0-3).
Completely failed in the qualifiers, finishing with zero points. The team has not seen a victory for several years and their level of play is comparable to that of FNL clubs. Their last match ended in a celebration: they drew against Latvia (1-1), scoring in the first minute and then defending for the remaining 90 minutes. Therefore, they have no chances against Albania.
Throughout history, the teams have met only three times. Albania has won all the matches (2-0, 2-0, 2-0).
The odds speak for themselves. Albania can easily outplay Liechtenstein even with a second team, but a total thrashing like (5-0) is not expected. I think it is reasonable to take: Albania win and total under (3.5), as Albania is not renowned for their attacking prowess.
