The semi-final of the Turkish Cup takes place on Tuesday, 7 May. The teams on the field will be "Besiktas" and "Ankaragucu".

"Besiktas"

This season has been challenging for the Eagles, but they have managed to reach the semi-finals of the cup. They are perfectly capable of taking the trophy, especially considering that "Galatasaray" and "Fenerbahce" have already been eliminated from the tournament, and the only serious opposition might come from "Trabzonspor". Although it's not good to look over your shoulder, I don't think "Ankaragucu" will be able to put up much of a fight against "Besiktas" on their own turf.

"Ankaragucu"

A middle-range team that doesn't stand out amongst other Turkish clubs. Their maximum is sparring with their league neighbours, but they struggle to compete with the top teams. They have been performing well in the Cup, although their sensational 3:0 win over "Fenerbahce" at their home ground in the last phase was probably a one-off.

Match Forecast and Bet

Personally, I believe in "Besiktas" in this showdown and will simply take a victory1. However, it definitely won’t be a cakewalk for them as the hosts are far from optimal playing conditions. It could also be worth considering TU (2.5), as it's highly unlikely that anyone would plunge into a reckless attack from the first minute. The stakes are already high, afterall it's a semi-final.
