The face-off between two representatives of the "Silver" division from the Western Conference. The Dynamo-Shinnik hockey team will continue to host their visitors from the East and commence a series of matches against the "Amur Tigry".
The 2022-2023 season was the first for the Belarusian team after their return to the MHL. Dinamo-Shinnik performed well in the "Silver" division of the Western Conference and staged a high-level regular championship, landing them among the top three. This provided an opportunity to continue the season with play-in matches to compete for a chance to play in the Harlamov Cup playoffs. The blue-and-whites didn't manage to advance to the playoff, but they nonetheless made a lasting impression and commanded respect. Dinamo-Shinnik began the latest regular championship with a prolonged home series that is nearing its end. They secured four consecutive victories against "Sakhalinskie Akuly" and "Taifun" from Vladivostok. Currently, the blue-and-whites lead the "Silver" division, having bagged 8 points in 4 matches.
Last season, the team from Khabarovsk outperformed their preceding years by demonstrating high-level results in the "Silver" division of the Western Conference. The black-and-orange team took the 5th spot in the "Silver" division, accumulating a total of 62 points. All eyes have been on the "Amurskie Tigry" who wrapped up the season with regular championship matches, as for the first time in a long while they genuinely had a shot at advancing to the playoffs. In the 2023-2024 season, the "Amurskie Tigry" have only played one match, in which they conceded to the Moscow Dinamo with a score of 5:6 in regulation time. The team from Khabarovsk made a solid showing, putting up a robust resistance against one of the best teams from the Western Conference of the past season.
Dinamo-Shinnik and the Amurskie Tigry have contested in 14 official matches. Out of these, Dinamo-Shinnik emerged victorious in 10 matches, while the Amurskie Tigry prevailed in 4 face-offs.
Dinamo-Shinnik will clinch the win within regulation time. The club from Belarus has kicked off the season remarkably well, clinching victory in 4 consecutive matches, while the Amurskie Tigry played well against Dinamo but having only played one match so far, they are yet to get into the full competitive rhythm.
