The Netherlands national team defeated Turkey 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Euro 2024 playoffs.
The score was opened in the first half at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, with Turkish defender Samet Aycaydin scoring in the 35th minute – 0:1.
In the second half, Dutch defender Stefan de Vrij equalized in the 70th minute – 1:1. Six minutes later, Turkish defender Mert Müldür scored an own goal – 2:1.
Thus, the Netherlands will face England in the semi-finals. Turkey's national team has concluded their participation in the tournament.
The UEFA Euro 2024 takes place from June 14 to July 14 in Germany. The tournament features 24 teams, divided into 6 groups of 4 teams each in the first stage. A round-robin tournament was held in each group, and the top 16 teams advanced to the playoffs. All playoff stages, up to the final, consist of a single match.
