In the semifinal of the clay-court Grand Slam, he defeated World No. 2 Italian Jannik Sinner in five sets with a score of 2-6, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3. The match lasted 4 hours and 9 minutes. This final marks Carlos's third appearance in a Grand Slam final and his first in Paris. His opponent in the final will be either Norwegian Casper Ruud or German Alexander Zverev.
The French Open is one of the four most prestigious Grand Slam tournaments. This year, it runs from May 26 to June 8, with a total prize fund of €53,478,000.
