The score in the match was opened in the 62nd minute by Egyptian defender Mahmoud Saber. At the 83rd and 99th minutes, Jean-Philippe Mateta scored twice, bringing victory to the French team. At the 108th minute, Michael Olise set the final score at 3:1.
Thus, France reached the final of the home Olympics, where they will face the Spanish national team. Spain defeated Morocco 2:1 in their semifinal.
The Olympic Games in Paris are being held from July 26 to August 11. Paris previously hosted the Summer Olympics in 1900 and 1924. After the end of these Games, it will become the second city after London to have hosted the Summer Olympics three times.
