In Chengdu, Jordan made it to the quarter-finals, beating Pursell 6:2, 7:6 (10:8) and Lajovic 6:1, 7:6 (7:1), but then had to retire from the match against Safiullin, and at the US Open, he stopped the match against Van de Zandschulp with 3:6 in the first set.
In mid-August in Cincinnati, Thompson successfully went through qualification and beat Muller and Husler, and then in the main draw defeated Isner but lost to Alcaraz. In the Washington tournament, he made it to the quarterfinals, beating Anderson, Mannarino, and Eubanks, but ultimately lost to Fritz. On the grass courts of Newport, the athlete reached the quarter-finals by overcoming Kovachevic and Brodie before conceding to Mannarino.
At the previous three tournaments, including Wimbledon, Mallorca, and London, Thompson made it to the second round, defeating Nakashima, Gasquet, and Popyrin, but losing to Djokovic, Lopez, and Norrie. In the middle of June, at the Hertogenbosch tournament, Jordan reached the final by defeating Mpetshi Perricard, Raonic, Mannarino, and Hijikata, but lost to Griekspoor.
Prior to Hertogenbosch, Jordan performed well on the Challengers, notably in South Korea and the United States. In the beginning of May, he scored a victory at the Challenger in Gwangju, and at the end of February at the Challenger in the United States.
Yoshihito Nishioka
28-year-old Yoshihito Nishioka, ranking 49th in the world, successfully passed the qualification for the Paris tournament by defeating Watanuki 6:4, 6:4 and Droge 3:6, 7:6 (7:4), 6:2. Before that in Tokyo, the tennis player lost to Hiron 6:7 (14:16), 6:4, 1:6, in Shanghai defeated Altmaier 6:4, 3:6, 7:6 (7:2), but lost to Ruud 5:7, 0:6, and in Beijing he claimed victory over Shan 5:7, 7:5, 6:1, but suffered defeat from Sinner with a score of 2:6, 0:6.

He defeated Atman 0:6, 6:4, 6:2, Harris 7:6 (7:4), 7:6 (7:5), Struff 6:4, 7:5 and Karatsev 6:4, 6:4, but lost to Khachanov 6:7 (2:7), 1:6. At the US Open, Yoshihito lost to Wawrinka, in Cincinnati beat Barrere but lost to Zverev, in Toronto - Musetti, in Washington - Ruusuvuori, in Atlanta - Vukic, at Wimbledon - Galan, and at the French Open suffered a defeat in the 1/8 finals from Etcheverry. However, it's worth noting that earlier in France, Yoshihito defeated Wolf, Pursell and Wild.
At the beginning of the season, Nishioka reached the semi-finals at the Adelaide tournament, and at the Australian Open, claimed victories over Imer, Svrcina, and McDonald but lost to Khachanov. In other seasons tournaments, Nishioka mostly failed to pass the second round and frequently lost in initial matches.
