Alexander Bublik - Maximilian Marterer predictions and free betting tips [21/10/2023]

However, prior to that, he tasted defeat in six out of eight matches with first-round losses at Astana, Chengdu, the US Open, Toronto and Washington against Ofner 4:6, 2:6, Hurkacz 3:6, 6:7 (2:7), and Monfils with a score of 3:6, 4:6 to name a few. Yet, he showcased some impressive results at Wimbledon earlier, triumphing over McDonald 6:7 (3:7), 6:4, 6:4, 6:4, Wolf 6:3, 7:6 (7:5), 6:0 and Marterer 6:4, 6:1, 7:6 (7:4), before falling to Rublev 5:7, 3:6, 7:6 (8:6), 7:6 (7:5), 4:6.

At the end of June, Bublik became the champion at the Halle tournament, showing decent form. He triumphed over Čorić with a score of 6:3, 6:1, Struff 6:3, 6:7 (4:7), 6:3, Sinner, Zverev 6:3, 7:5 and Rublev with a score of 6:3, 3:6, 6:3. Earlier in Hertogenbosch, he beat Goffin with a score of 7:5, 7:5 but lost to Sinner 4:6, 2:6. At the French Open, Alexander was defeated by Zeppieri scoring 0:6, 6:4, 6:4, 3:6, 5:7, and in Geneva, he couldn't pass the first round, losing to Hurkacz 0:6, 4:6.

Bublik's season didn't really take off as he had hoped, suffering a series of losses from the get-go. However, he was able to break this losing streak at the tournament in Marseille, reaching the semifinals and besting Krajinović, Barrero, and Dimitrov. At the end of March, on the Phoenix Challenger, Bublik advanced to the quarter-finals, and also showed decent results in Ex-en-Provence, where he passed two rounds, defeating Bonadio and Virtanen.

Maximilian Marterer

This 28-year-old tennis player, currently ranked 127th in the world, pulled off three wins at the Antwerp tournament, over Gasquet with a score of 6:3, 6:4, Borges 6:3, 7:6 (7:3) and Gaston 6:3, 6:2. Before that, in Malaga, he was defeated by Genie in the first round, but reached the semi-finals in the challengers in Alicante and Tulln-an-der-Donau. Marterer then suffered from a series of defeats and lost three out of four matches, at the US Open he failed to qualify and was defeated by Klein 6:7 (5:7), 2:6, lost in the first match to Aidukovic 3:6, 6:1, 6:7 (5:7) in Ludenscheid, and in Hamburg he defeated Mölleker with a score of 7:6 (7:2), 6:2, but lost to Zverev 3:6, 5:7.

Earlier in Amersfoort, Marteter claimed a title, getting past Diaz with the score of 6:3, 6:4, Menshik 6:3, 7:6 (7:3), Girts 6:1, 6:2, Mölleker 6:4, 7:6 (7:5) and Droge with the score of 6:4, 6:2. However, at the Braunschweig Challenger, Marterer was defeated in the first round by Agamemnon with a score of 6:3, 6:7 (5:7), 4:6.

At Wimbledon in early June, Marterer reached the third round, defeating players like Goyo with a score of 7:5, 6:7 (8:10), 6:3, 6:4 and Mmo 7:5, 7:6 (7:5), 6:4, but then lost to Bublik 4:6, 1:6, 6:7 (4:7). Prior to the Wimbledon event, Maximilian successfully qualified, defeating Darderi, Onclin, and Marozano.

Before Wimbledon, Marterer suffered four defeats, in Halle he lost to Karatsev in the qualification match with a score of 6:4, 3:6, 5:7, and at the Challenger in Heilbronn - to Kovalik 6:3, 2:6, 6:7 (5:7) in the first match. He also failed to qualify for the French Open, losing to Adde with a score of 4:6, 4:6. Earlier, Maximilian withdrew from the quarterfinal of the Tunis Challenger due to injury, but managed to defeat Tabilo and Rincon at this tournament. This season, Maximilian Marterer did not pass the second round in other tournaments, except for the Koblenz Challenger and the Pune Championship, where he reached the quarterfinals.
