In mid-September, Ashlyn Krueger won the title in Osaka and beat Bindl, Ponche, Kalinskaya, Hontama and Zhu Lin. Before that, the athlete faced a streak of failures and lost in four of the six matches. At the US Open, she lost to Bouzkova, in Stanford, to Peterson. In Washington and Montreal she failed to qualify, and lost in the second rounds to Davis and Giorgi. In early May, Ashlyn reached the final at the tournament in Charlottesville, defeating Di Lorenzo, Lee, Schneider and Dolhide, but in the final she was beaten by Navarro. And in mid-February, Krueger advanced to the semi-finals on the hard courts of Mexico, defeating Bolsova, Glushko and Birrell, but lost in the semi-final to Charbon.
