In the 1/16 finals of the Shanghai championship on hard court, Italy's Jannik Sinner is set to face off against Sebastian Baez from Argentina. I'm backing Sinner with a -5 game handicap.

The 22-year-old Jannik Sinner, currently ranked 4th in the world, has claimed his first victory at Shanghai against Hurkacz with a score of 7:6 (9:7), 6:2. Prior to this, the tennis player claimed victory at Beijing tournament, overpowering Evans, Nishioka, Dimitrov, Alcaraz and Medvedev, and at the US Open. He beat Hanfmann with a score of 6:3, 6:1, 6:1, Sonego 6:4, 6:2, 6:4, and Wawrinka 6:3, 2:6, 6:4, 6:2, before losing to Zverev 4:6, 6:3, 2:6, 6:4, 3:6. Prior to Cincinnati, Sinner began the tournament from the second round but suffered a loss against Lajović, with a score of 4:6, 6:7 (4:7).
In Toronto, Sinner took the title, claiming victories against Berrettini with a score of 6:4, 6:3, Murray, whose match was a Walkover, Monfils 6:4, 4:6, 6:3, Paul 6:4, 6:4 and De Minaur 6:4, 6:1. An important success was reaching the semi-finals at Wimbledon, where he overcame Cerundolo 6:2, 6:2, 6:2, Schwartzman 7:5, 6:1, 6:2, Galan 3:6, 6:2, 6:3, 6:4, Galan 7:6 (7:4), 6:4, 6:3 and Safiullin 6:4, 3:6, 6:2, 6:2, but lost out to Djokovic 3:6, 4:6, 6:7 (4:7).
Moreover, he made it to the quarter-finals in Halle, where he beat Gasquet 6:3, 5:7, 6:2 and Sonego 6:7 (4:7), 6:4, 6:4, but afterwards lost to Bublik, retiring from the match with a score of 5:7, 0:2. In the 's-Hertogenbosch tournament, he bested Bublik, but lost to Ruusuvuori, and at the French Open he convincingly beat Muller, but then lost to Altmaier. In the current season, Sinner continues to demonstrate impressive results on hard courts, reaching finals in Rotterdam and Miami as well as semi-finals in Indian Wells and Monte Carlo. Sebastian Baez
The 22-year-old Sebastian Baez, currently ranked 29th in the world, claimed his first victory at Shanghai over Sousa with a score of 6:2, 6:4. Prior to this, in Astana, the tennis player suffered a loss in the opening match against Rodionov with a score of 2:6, 4:6, and at Davis Cup he overcame Baez 7:6 (8:6), 5:7, 6:3. At the US Open, Baez made it past Čilić with a score of 7:5, 7:5, 6:1 and Meligeni Rodrigues Alves, with a score of 6:7 (7:9), 6:4, 6:4, 0:0, the match was abandoned, but later he lost to Medvedev 2:6, 2:6, 6:7 (6:8).
Earlier in Winston-Salem and Kitzbühel, Sebastian claimed the titles. During these tournaments, he overcame Medjedovic, Carballés Baena, Molčan, Etcheverry, Tim, Galan, Vukić, Djere, Čilić and Lehecka. These successes came after four consecutive losses. In Hamburg he succumbed to Ruud with a score of 3:6, 6:1, 3:6, in Båstad - to Coria 4:6, 6:4, 6:7 (5:7), and at Wimbledon - to Barrios with a score of 6:7 (7:9), 6:3, 3:6, 6:7 (2:7). Sebastian also participated in tournaments in Eastbourne and French Open but lost to Paul and Monfils, respectively.
In late May in Lyon, Sebastian reached the quarter-finals, beating Fucsovics with a score of 6:4, 7:6 (7:5) and Kecmanović 3:6, 7:5, 6:2, but then lost to Norrie 2:6, 6:2, 1:6. Also, Sebastian showed good results at the Turin Challenger, where he beat Bonadio 6:4, 6:2 and Wild 6:4, 3:6, 6:3, but lost to Gaio in the semi-finals with a score of 5:7, 3:6. An important achievement was winning the Cordoba tournament, on clay, where he beat Darderi, Barrios and Dellien, and ultimately bested Coria in the final.
