In the tournament, she beat Osorio Serrano with a score of 7:5, 7:6 (7:4), Noskova 7:6 (9:7), 4:6, 6:3 and Bouzkova with a score of 5:7, 7:6 (7:5), 6:3, but suffered a defeat against Zheng with a score of 2:6, 4:6.

Ons previously reached the quarter-finals in the Cincinnati tournament, and racked up wins against Kalinina with a score of 6:3, 6:7 (2:7), 7:6 (7:2) and Vekic, but lost to Sabalenka with a score of 5:7, 3:6.

Earlier, Parks successfully made it into the main draw of the Montreal tournament, defeating Stojanovic with a score of 4:6, 6:4, 7:5 and Bucsa 6:1, 6:2, and then overcame Davis, but fell to Bencic. In the Washington tournament, the tennis player wasn't able to progress through the qualifying rounds and lost her opening match to Baptiste. At Wimbledon, she defeated Fruhvirtova with a score of 6:4, 6:3, but suffered a defeat against Bogdan with a score of 6:1, 3:6, 2:6.

Before this tournament, Alicia had a series of four defeats, losing in the opening round of the Birmingham tournament to Kalinina with a score of 4:6, 4:6, in Nottingham falling to Zhu Lin 6:7 (5:7), 2:6, and in the French Open, losing to Vondrousova 4:6, 0:6. At the end of April in the Madrid tournament, Alicia also advanced two rounds, defeating Azarenka and Schmidlova, but afterwards fell to Trevisan.

In early February, Alicia displayed a good performance at the Lyon tournament, where she eventually claimed the title. There she defeated Grabher, Martic, Kovinic, Zanevska and Garcia, but after this tournament, Alicia lost eight out of ten matches. This string of defeats was only broken at the end of April in Madrid.
