"Sunderland" will strive to put an end to their winless run of seven league games in an away match against a well-formed "Cardiff City". Last round, the hosts suffered an upsetting loss in the Welsh derby, while the visitors drew with "Queens Park Rangers".
The hosts are currently sitting 11th in the Championship table, falling eight points short of the play-off zone. The gap is significant, and points simply cannot be lost. Kion Etete's participation in the match remains in question, but Aaron Ramsey has recovered from all his injuries and is ready to start.
Mike Dodds is still unable to achieve good results with his team, and their prospects are quite clouded. A myriad of injuries is hindering the squad's coherence, affecting the result profoundly.
Had it not been for the international break, "Cardiff" would have been an even larger favourite here, but the break might have given the much-needed respite for "Sunderland" to recover and adjust its squad. That's why I'm considering a handicap 0 on the home team as a hedge.
In the recent head-to-head matchups, less than 2.5 goals were scored, and "Cardiff's" concentration on defence gives no reason for this streak to be broken. Furthermore, "Sunderland" does not inspire confidence in its attack. The TU in this game is an obvious choice.
