Norwich City is closely approaching top six, and tomorrow's match at "Riverside" against Middlesbrough might become crucial in the fight for promotion. While the "Canaries" are standing at seventh place, "Boro", after a series of defeats, might get drawn into the survival struggle.
Not long ago, it seemed that Michael Carrick was a perfect match for the managerial role at Boro, but in the last nine games, there were only two wins, having lost four of the last five matches. 12 points away from the play-off zone, hopes are looking grim.
After the 1-0 defeat against Leeds United, the "Canaries" accrued 14 out of a possible 18 points. However, the team's away form leaves much to be desired, managing to win only four out of seventeen such games. Yet, it should be noted, the situation has been slightly improving recently.
The Lake's latest games raise severe doubts about their potential success in tomorrow's game. By the same token, Norwich has not been performing in their best form away from home. Nevertheless, I prefer the guests' game form, and ITO2 (1) seems the safest choice.
It's high time for the hosts to start accruing points; otherwise, they risk getting closer to the relegation zone. Points can't be accrued without scoring goals. Norwich almost always manages to make their mark, but it's their defence that often fails under pressure. I expect the match to be high-scoring, with teams netting at least 3 goals.
