On Saturday, 15 June, a Friendly football match will take place between the national teams of Colombia and Bolivia.
Colombia last lost to Argentina (0:1) in early 2022 during the World Cup qualifiers. Since then, they have been on a twenty-two match unbeaten streak. Néstor Lorenzo has taken over as head coach, and the team has significantly transformed.Despite not having a star-studded squad, Colombia displays fabulous football, and I believe they will make a splash in the Copa América. A few days ago, they sensationally thrashed the USA (5:1) in an away friendly. Perhaps, Colombia is currently in the best shape in their history.
The nominal guests played four friendlies this year, winning only against Andorra (1:0), while losing to Ecuador (1:3), Mexico (0:1), and Algeria (2:3). Bolivia objectively has little chance of advancing to the playoffs in the upcoming tournament, as their group includes the USA and Uruguay.
Since 2013, the teams have met five times. Colombia has won four times (3:0, 1:0, 3:2, 5:0), while the teams drew once (1:1).
Although Colombia does not have the most attacking style, their conversion of chances is excellent. On the other hand, Bolivia concedes a lot from top teams, and Colombia is one of those top teams (in my opinion). I will take a home victory and a total over 2.5.
