On Saturday, 8 June, a friendly football match between Belgium and Luxembourg will take place.
Tedesco is still undecided on the starting lineup and is experimenting with various combinations. In the last friendly match against Montenegro (2:0), Lukaku did not play, although he was present in the stands. It is possible that his place in the attack will be taken by Loïs Openda, who had a brilliant season with Leipzig, or they may even try playing with two forwards. De Bruyne undoubtedly remains the engine of the team. Belgium last suffered a defeat in 2022 against Albania (0:2), but has not lost since then.
The visitors have long stopped being pushovers and have become a solid European team that, with a bit of luck, could have even made it to the Euros. In their last match, although they lost to France (0:3), possession was nearly 50-50, and the French had to work hard before opening the score.
The last time the teams faced each other was in 2014, when Belgium thrashed Luxembourg (5:1).
If the French team, with its star-studded attack, only managed to score three against Luxembourg, I doubt Belgium will be able to score more. Breaking down the visitors' defence will not be easy for the Belgians, so I'll go with HANDICAP2 (+3).
