On Thursday, 6 June, in a friendly football match, Gibraltar will square off against Wales.
There's not much to say about the hosts. The last time they tasted victory was against Andorra in 2022 (1-0), but since then, they have been on a thirteen-match losing streak. However, in their previous match, everyone anticipated a complete rout of Gibraltar, but Scotland couldn't deliver on that. Wales and Scotland are on a similar playing field in terms of skill level, so I don't expect the visitors to completely dismantle Gibraltar.
The visitors almost secured a spot in the Euros through the Nations League playoffs but fell short in the final against Poland (0-0, 4-5 on penalties). The Welsh squad is solid, with almost all the young players consistently performing in the Premier League. This means Bale and Ramsey have decent replacements in the form of speedy Johnson in attack and tenacious James in midfield.
Throughout history, the two teams have met only once, with Wales emerging victorious (4-0).
A comfortable outing is on the cards for Wales, but I don't foresee a complete blowout by the visitors. I'll opt for HANDICAP1 (+3.5), as Gibraltar has grown accustomed to and learnt how to defend for 90 minutes, as demonstrated in their previous match against Scotland.
