The friendly football match between the national teams of Austria and Serbia is set to take place on Tuesday, 4 June.
The hosts are currently in magnificent form and playing splendidly. They finished second in the group stage and secured their Euro ticket without any issues. The team is on a winning streak of five matches, having defeated Turkey (6:1), Slovakia (2:0), Germany (2:0), Estonia (2:0), and Azerbaijan (1:0).
It is worth mentioning that Austria has a significant defensive loss. David Alaba is injured and will definitely not be on the field, which is a major link in the team. However, even without him, the Austrians are showcasing top-notch play.
We will also see the Serbs at the Euros, although they are currently playing rather poorly. In recent friendlies, they defeated Cyprus (1:0) but were heavily defeated by Russia (0:4), despite odds suggesting an even contest, and everyone expected a close fight.
The last time the teams met was in the 2017 World Cup qualifiers, where Austria emerged victorious (3:2).
I really like how Austria has spread its wings and finally found its game. I believe that in front of their home crowd, the Austrians will defeat Serbia. Therefore, I am taking a home win at odds of 2.2.
