El Bayadh - MC Oran predictions and free betting tips [19/01/2024]

The Zakaria Medjuba stadium is set to host a match between two teams currently in the lower echelons of the Algerian League 1. El-Bayad will clash against Oran. The visitors are in the relegation zone, whilst the club from the titular municipality is 11th.

In the previous season, El-Bayad grabbed the 4th spot and the 'White-blues' fell just 5 points short of making it to the Champions League.

At present, Abdelhak Belaid's charges are hovering in mid-table, where they can readily string a few wins together and move closer to the leading pack. Worth noting is that El-Bayad performs well at home, however, they struggle in away games.

Abdelhak Belaid has a rather average but broad roster at his disposal. Naturally, the notable individual achievements of Kamel Belmiloud (3 goals and 2 assists) and the solid defense, particularly Adel Amaush who is the cheapest defender but quick and effective in the box, deserve recognition.

Though El-Bayad is not the most predictable of teams, they should overcome Oran, whose performance has been less than satisfactory.

Oran

The club from the port city on the Mediterranean coast has settled in the ranks of contenders for demotion to League 2. Last season, Oran could have dropped to a lower division, but there were teams that fared worse throughout the championship.

In the new year, the club sacked the previous coach, Heireddin Madoui, understandably as Oran's management was dissatisfied with the players' results, after a loss-streak of six consecutive matches.

We'll see what fresh ideas a new coach may bring, but for now, acting duties have been assigned to Aissa Kinane, under whose helm, Oran conceded defeat to USM Alger in the last round on foreign ground.

The Mediterranean side doesn't possess the strongest lineup. Without standout performance from their striking options, and the midfield working as a comprehensive unit, the flanks have seen constant changes under Madoui. For instance, Jamel Eddin Ibuzidene was deployed in the centre and on the left flank while Snusi Furlul was shifted to a midfielder role when a more offensive game plan was required.

It will be a tall order for Oran to triumph at El-Bayad's home ground, but at the very least, they should strive to deliver tactically sound football.

I would opt for an individual total over 1.5 for the host, taken into consideration their decent attacking prowess and the likelihood of defensive problems for the opponent.
