Denmark - Kazakhstan predictions and free betting tips [14/10/2023]

On Saturday, 14 October, as part of the Euro 2024 qualifying stage, the Danish national team will face off against the Kazakhstan national team. The top four teams in Group H are separated by just one point, as are Denmark and Kazakhstan, so the result of the upcoming match will determine the fate of the ticket to the continental championship.

Denmark

Since Finland and Slovenia play each other in this round, Denmark can't afford a blunder on Saturday evening. The hosts are currently in second place in the table with 13 points, but the leading Slovenians have the same number of points - but a better goal difference. In the last continental tournament, the red and whites made it to the semi-finals, where they were ousted by the host team - England (2:1). In September, the Danes demolished San Marino at home (4:0), and then with a minimal score (0:1) defeated Finland thanks to a goal from Pierre-Emile Højbjerg. Thus, the Scandinavians have not lost in their last four matches. However, in March, Denmark allowed an upsetting blunder, losing 3:2 away to Kazakhstan, with the favourite leading by two goals 20 minutes before the end of the match, but then conceding three times. 

Kazakhstan

The Kazakhstan national team has embarrassed all the skeptics and joined the fight for the top two places. The Kazakhs started with a loss to Slovenia, but then picked up the pace and in the last matches won three victories (against Northern Ireland and San Marino), thus taking the fourth position with 12 points in this group. In March of this year, the yellow-blues sensationally defeated the formidable Danes (3:2), despite trailing by two goals by the 70th minute. In September, the charges of Magomed Adiyev lost at home to the Finns (0:1), but then took a win over the stubborn Northern Ireland (1:0). The visitors, who have never taken part in major international competitions, will have another opportunity to earn a ticket to the Euro in case of a failure in the final rounds - thanks to the League of Nations Play-offs. The team needs to score at least four points in the remaining three rounds - with Denmark, Finland and Slovenia.

Denmark is the overwhelming favourite of this match, despite the fact that the Kazakhstan national team continues to impress positively throughout the current campaign. Half a year ago, the yellow-blues already performed a miracle, coming back from a 0:2 deficit to win 3:2 – now the favourites will not allow themselves to relax for a single minute. The hosts possess a great squad led by Højlund and should delight the stands with a victory with a handicap of -1.5.

The Danes have scored 12 goals in 6 starting rounds, and Kazakhstan has only conceded 5 over this period – a clear "undershoot", considering the status of the team. We confidently bet on the Danish individual total over 2.
