The match of the third round of the group stage of the European Football Championship, in which the Scotland national team hosted Hungary, has ended. The game took place in Stuttgart at the Mercedes-Benz Arena and concluded with a 1-0 victory for Hungary.
The winning goal was scored by Kevin Csoboth in the tenth minute of added time. In the 70th minute, Hungarian forward Barnabás Varga lost consciousness after a collision with Scotland's goalkeeper Angus Gunn. The player was carried off the field on a stretcher.
Notably, this is Hungary's first victory at Euro 2024. Previously, the team lost to Switzerland and Germany. The Scotland team has not won any matches in the Euro, having lost to Germany and drawn with Switzerland.
