De la Fuente Named the Best National Team in the World

The head coach of the Spanish national team, Luis de la Fuente, shared his impressions after the match against the Italian national team in the 2024 UEFA European Championship.

"I would like to highlight the level of this generation of footballers, especially this team. Spanish footballers are the best in the world. I am pleased, but overall, we haven't achieved anything yet. We have won several important matches, but football can be very cruel. We need to remain cautious, humble, and respectful. We must not lose our heads," De la Fuente was quoted as saying by the official UEFA website.

The Spanish national team defeated the Italian national team 1-0 in the second round of the group stage of the 2024 European Championship.

The 2024 UEFA European Championship is being held from June 14 to July 14 in Germany. Twenty-four national teams are participating. In the first stage, they are divided into six groups of four teams each. A round-robin tournament will be held in each group, and based on the results, the top 16 teams will advance to the playoffs. All playoff stages up to the final will consist of a single match.

The reigning European champion is the Italian national team.
