AC Milan, a seven-time European champion, is showing interest in Tosin Adarabioyo, Fulham's Nigerian center-back, as reported by the renowned Italian sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport. The Italian club has identified the Super Eagles-eligible defender as a potential addition to their squad.
Although Milan is not planning to finalize the deal in the current window, Milan aims for a summer signing. This move is seen as an effort to strengthen their defence, which has been underwhelming this season, with 20 goals allowed in Serie A, the highest among the top five teams.
Adarabioyo, whose contract with Fulham is nearing its end, can sign a pre-contract with non-Premier League clubs this month. The 26-year-old has also caught the attention of Bayern Munich and Tottenham, although Bayern's interest seems to have waned, and Tottenham might shift focus to Radu Drăgușin.
Having overcome early-season injuries, Adarabioyo has reclaimed his spot in Marco Silva's team, starting in their last seven matches across various competitions.
